Located away from the hustle and bustle of central Thamel but still close enough to get to all to main sights. Hostel is down an alley. Owners are friendly. Wifi stable. Electricity (like the rest of KTM) is switch off at certain times. Shared bathroom/toilet very basic.
Thank you for sharing your experiences here in hostelworld. We are happy to know that you like your stay at Family Peace House. We will be happy to welcome you back in future.

Staff were generally very helpful, though there was a lady with red hair on reception who seemed quite abrupt with guests checking out. Place was generally clean. Location is near the party/clubbing part of Brissy (China town/fortitude valley). Overall a pleasant stay.
Thanks for the great review! Hopefully we will see you again soon!

Nice place to stay. Wifi codes change daily. Had an issue with no bed in the dorm I booked but they resolved that be putting me in a better room (took an hour to get it sorted). Close to all major attractions, clean bathrooms...but the showers have no real room to get changed.

Have stayed in a few hostels in London - this is one of the better ones. Close to the centre, clean by London standards, wifi in rooms. Close to Sainsbury. Common area is in the main building a few minutes walk away.

Great place to stay in Amaterdam. Close to major attractions plus staff friendly. Wifi excellent and breakfast was great. Generally clean. More power points would be nice in rooms. Options to fellowship with Christians , bible study and pray which was great.

Good wifi and secure rooms with lockers. Helpful staff. I would have rated the place 90% but there were a few issues with bed allocation - all beds had other peoples clothing on them (at 3pm when I arrived) but there were supposed to be 3 beds free. Had to wait a couple more hours to get a bed.

Had a great time at the hostel - largely due to the awesome staff and fellow travellers. Really has a relaxed vibe which is great when you need to unwind after travelling. Place is clean, central and has good wifi plus beds are comfortable. Great job guys!

Almost the perfect stay - central location, clean, good use of space in dorm (with a curtain with each bed) and stable wifi. The only NEGATIVE - is that they added an extra 100 kuna to the bill for me and the girl in front of me - which was corrected when it was pointed out. This is the second hostel that has made a large error like this: either it's bad book keeping or something fishy is happening, but PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE PAYING!
Hi there, thanks for your great rating. Sorry again about the mistake with the billing. There are two things that happened recently: Hostelworld changed some terms & conditions recently which caused some trouble in the system. The second is that we changed our internal computer system this winter too and we are still working things out. There is nothing fishy happening, just a simple mistake. Sorry again!

Place was almost perfect - clean, comfortable, fantastic room set up, good wifi, centrally located, friendly staff AND they even dropped breakfast off to me in my room. Only NEGATIVE was my bill - there was an extra 100 Kuna on it which they did sort out quickly when I pointed it out. This has happened twice at 2 consecutive Croatian hostels now - mistake or otherwise PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON THE BILL!

Each bunk had its own power plug and light. Also had a locker. Good wifi. Generally quite clean. Only one shower/toilet for the men at the borrowing floor - not a problem when I was there but in peak season may be different. Music played at night and in the morning - good if you want a party/social atmosphere, not so good if you want to rest.

Central and easy to find. Wifi is good. Breakfast is simple. Only one electrical plug and very tight fit in the room (7people in the space for 4-5 - thankfully everyone in the room were very considerate). They don't seem to clean the rooms daily. Also, unless you do it yourself, they supposedly only changed the bedding every few days! Truthfully I didn't mind too much as my stay was short and I was tired. Depends what you are used to.

Good wifi, 22 bed dorm has plenty of space and each bed has a curtain. A lot of school groups around, 5-10min walk to tube. Free tea and coffee. No kitchen and clean bathrooms!

Wifi was exceptionally fast and reliable, great common room and all the bathrooms were so clean! 24hr store down the street helped after a later night exploring old town. Rooms were comfortable. Best part though was that Mamma and Pappa made the place feel so welcoming. Getting there was easier then I thought it would be - just follow the instructions they've written - it makes sense when you get there. Also it is very close to the old town by bus!

Great location near the main train station. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Rooms and bathroom were clean. Internet was fast! More power plugs would have been even better. Look for the Internet/Laudromat when checking in as it was a little difficult to locate the reception at night. Rooms are in a another building. Highly recommended place to stay!

The best place I have stayed in London so far! Bathrooms are clean, wifi is generally reliable and there are plenty of power points and plugs. Free breakfast also is pretty good. Not a party hostel. Everyone was really friendly when I was there. If they maintain the excellent prices, it is definitely worth considering as a place to stay if you don't mind being in Wimbledon!

Friendly staff. Relatively clean bathroom and toilets. Good use of lockers but not much in the way of security. Also, not many power points in the room and a very small common area.

Fantastic location and easy to get to. Very average breakfast. Beds were okay. Cleanliness was also very average. More information about local facilities like supermarkets and tourist information would have been nice also - even if the services are not in the area.

Great hostel. Very clean and fantastic breakfast. Facilities were excellent. Very comfortable lounge. Only issue I had was that I got my clothing washed and dried and it came out smelling worse. Apart from that this is one of the best hostels I've stayed in.
