Abercorn House Hostel

The staff and security were average and not too great but the hostel was great overall. The atmosphere was good and clean. Value for money was high and almost everything was alright. The two letdowns were the showers were the "press a tab and water comes out for 10 seconds" style which was inconvenient (though it is great for saving up water). There is no dish washing liquid to wash dirty dishes so, don't use the dishes, no one washes them. Sigh, I used the bathroom liquid soap to wash them.

Caterina Hostel & Guesthouse

If you go to Budapest, you should stay here. The only downside is the lack of a fan or air conditioning but it was alright even during summer. The hostel owner/worker was extremely nice and helpful and security and atmosphere was great. They have laundry facilities and overall is a great place to stay which offers great value for money. Location is great and easily accessible though there's no lift. So if you have a lot of luggage, you have to carry it up.Nevertheless, still very worth the stay

NEVER stay in this hostel, worst place ever. The location was strategic but I guess, all accommodations in the city center would be strategic anyway. The staff were never present so you's have to call to get them over. They're very nice and helpful though. The hotel has no air conditioning or even a fan which is the BIGGEST letdown of all during summer. Me and my partner couldn't sleep at night and had to open the windows and were greeted by loud and noisy street partying till early in the morn

Hotel Luxia

It was a passable stay. The hotel was good and normal but not awesome or anything. The staff were alright and breakfast was not bad. Hotel was initially a bit out of town but easy enough to maneuver around the city via subways. Value for money was about right and hence, I would recommend the hotel for staying since there was nothing bad about it in particular. Only a missing half of a shower door but it wasn't a biggie.
