Biergarten Hostel

Christina was fantastic and really helped us out, even though there was a miscommunication about our third night she handled everything very professionally and made us feel very welcome. The room were clean and the breakfast was quite good (!included fruit and hard boiled eggs). We would stay here again.

El Misti Botafogo Hostel e Pousada

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

We booked this hostel on hostelworld and later they emailed us to tell us they were "overbooked" and moved to their terrible hostel in a favela near Leme. We had no choice of a refund. We later learned that this is a common tactic El Misti uses, overbooking their popular, more expensive hostels and then moving you to a worse one at the same price.

In this case the review is not for El Misti Botafogo, if you had problems with El Misti Leme.

Hostel Keoken

Punta Arenas, Chile

We spent three nights at keoken, and had a pretty comfortable stay. The owners are really nice, our double room was clean as was the bathroom, wifi was good, the kitchen for guests is a bit small (not really a problem just don't stock up on groceries before getting there) Some of the hostel is still under construction, but while we were there it didn't interrupt our stay. I would go back if headed to Punta arenas again.
