Stay here! The staff are super friendly, the rooms are huge, with big beds. The rooftop terrace was lovely and breakfast was huge and filling and one less meal to think about. Thanks so much

The staff were lovely and the price so cheap. Great rooms and a cool terrace. The shower in the bathroom was not so great, a handheld one with nowhere to clip on, and it's right next to the toilet so hard to avoid getting water everywhere. A lovely place to stay, highly recommended.

First of all the lady that owns this place is absolutely lovely, and very helpful, and her lovely family all live downstairs and are equally helpful. The place is a bit dated and the bathroom door didn't close but all else was fine. Nice tapas restaurant downstairs for dinner as well.

Good location, pretty noisy with kids screaming during the day (when we tried having a siesta) and is situated above a restaurant so noisy until 2am. Nice rooms and facilities

Only got to spend part of a day here. We booked 2 months in advance but when we got there they had messed up our booking and there was no space for us. To their credit they did their best to relocate us but we ended up out in the suburbs, still had to pay the full amount. Was looking forward to staying here, and looked nice inside

Great bar area and cheap breakfast and drinks. The room was pretty good but very hot. Plus the guy working told us there was a big wasp nest and not to open the window. No air con, no fan, no windows open. Was a very unpleasant night trying to sleep. Ended up draping a wet towel over myself. If it had a fan would be no problem. Otherwise a cool place

A great place to stay. Host was very friendly to us, even gave us a bottle of wine on departure! Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was huge, even had a sauna in it which would be great in winter. Let us leave our bags there before/after check in/out and keep the key until that time. Made to feel very welcome here. Short 5min walk to Deak station (main metro station) and the square there is great for eating/drinking etc. Most tourist sites less than 20 min walk from this place.

First of all awesome shower. Hot and great pressure, makes me happy. The rooms were quiet and comfy, free wifi for hostel world customers otherwise you pay, which was pleasantly surprising. Really friendly staff, and clean rooms. Only a short 15 minute walk into the centre of town and close to plenty of places to eat and a tram station. Did I mention the shower was awesome?

A great hostel, nice spacious dorms and good facilities. Our experience was ruined by inconsiderate dormers but through no fault of the hostel. Keep up the good work guys

A nice little place but a fair way from town. Takes 20 mins on the bus to get into town which is a bit annoying if you just want to duck out for food. Nice rooms, and the host is lovely. Breakfast is toast with selection of jams, cheese and salami, and tea/coffee. A bit expensive for what you get but I think it would be very convenient if coming from the airport as it is not far. We enjoyed our stay here but walking back from the bus stop in the cold/rain/dark after dinner is not as fun.

Awesome accommodation in an awesome spot. Gerhard is a legend, great sense of humor and the perfect host. Dinners and breakfast were delicious and reasonably priced for s home cooked meal. The beds were warm and comfortable and we will return here for sure! Free pickup from the train station is a bonus.

Only a 5 minute walk from one of the main train stations which connects you to the rest of the city and western cities. We stayed in a private room which was really small and the bed is right up against the wall so you have to climb over each other to get in/out. No bin in the room is annoying and handheld showers with no bracket to hold them are also very annoying. Overall it was a pleasant enough stay, just a few things that could be easily fixed

We stayed in a private room and it was so nice. Overlooking a field with apple trees, it was quiet, the beds were comfy, and dark with the shutters closed (great for sleep ins). The shower was a button timed one which goes 20secs before you have to push it again which really bugs me but I guess it stops people wasting water. The staff here are awesome as well, really friendly and relaxed. Make sure you do the rafting pub crawl it was a highlight of the trip! Thanks for a great stay!

This place was really nice, situated 15 mins walk from the centre of Prague. The owner mr Novak is super helpful and sits you down and marks all sites of interest on a map for you. The place had a really homey feel about it, although the shower was a handheld with no holder and you have to be very careful not to flood the floor with water. The wifi signal only works in the far corner of the unit but these are the only things I can fault it on. Close to supermarkets and great places to eat!

Solid bunk beds which don't creak every time you roll over, plenty of toilets and showers, a cool bar area downstairs where the staff are really friendly. Can get loud on the street outside the windows so make sure you have earplugs. A short walk across into old town via the flea markets is a good way to spend the day.

Ok, so it's a new hostel, the hotel itself is very nice, we only had a few problems. The rooms have light curtains so it's light in the room at dawn. Also lots of roadworks starting at 6am very annoying but not the hostels fault and will be finished soon. Wifi downstairs and first floor, other floors not so much. Location has dodgy characters but that's just Berlin. Situated right next to u-bahn and train so extremely well connected to city. Best showers ive had in europe, great pressure!

BackStage Hotel

Situated fairly close to the centre of town, everything within 10-20 mins walking distance, or if you don't want to walk a tram stops right out the front. Really funky rooms with cool drum lights and iPod dock for music. The bed is honestly the most comfortable I've slept in in Europe, soft but not too soft. Clean, modern rooms and bathrooms, and a tv (which was good for the Olympics). Fairly expensive but that's just Amsterdam.

Overall our stay here was very pleasant and at a great price considering the prices in Paris. The only thing it is in a bit of a dodgy feeling area but it's close to the metro so easy to get around. The guys on the front desk are friendly and there 24hrs. The room was simple, clean and exactly what we needed, cheaper than a dorm down the road. Actually tried to book here again but it was full. Recommend!

A great little hotel situated nice and close to everything. Short walk to train station and the centre of town. Nice restaurants close by as well. Beautiful rooms and we had air con which was great because it was hot. There is no lift so make sure you can get up stairs ok. Bathroom very clean and nice shower pressure. Some of our friends stayed here too but their "ensuite" didn't have walls so the toilet was in the man area. A bit weird? Just ask if you're not into it I guess :)

This place was really cheap for what it was and I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door. There was no wifi in the building that we were in but the owner was awesome and really friendly and let us use the Internet down in the other building whenever we want. It's a short walk into town and the owner is really helpful and tells you where to go for good food/shopping etc. We had a private ensuite but it's in the room but with no roof on it so not very private but not the end of the world!

Situated an easy 10 min walk from the centre of town we really enjoyed our stay here. The room was really clean and well furnished and had air con which was great in the middle of summer. The owner didn't speak any English but that's easy enought to get around. Great value for money although the wifi was very poor. Would definitely stay here again!

This place was awesome! Funky, clean rooms individually themed by different decorators/artists. The bathrooms are large and have big shower heads making for great showers. They have a great kitchen and laundry facilities. There is 24hr reception so you can come back whatever time you like and we found all of the staff to be extremely helpful and very nice. Tried to stay there longer but unfortunately was booked out (with good reason!). Would definitely stay here again!

This is great value for money. Sure the rooms are a bit small and could do with a fan or something, but it's clean enough, and it's great cooling off in the nice pool. The common area is good and make sure you have dinner overlooking the awesome view. Takes about 20-30 mins to walk into town which is tough in the heat but suck it up. There's an awesome bakery at the end of the road at the bottom of the hill as well.

We were in a 6 bed dorm which was ok, air con which is good, although try not to get the bed directly under it (brrrrrr). The pasta party was awesome, €2 for a big plate of pasta which was very tasty, then across to the next adjoining hostel for the champagne party (free)! A great atmosphere. Close to the train and tram station and an easy walk into the old town. Reasonable price although expensive this week for some reason, but all the other hostels had increased as well. Would stay here again

Bed&Bed Milan

A nice hostel in Milan a little out of the way but easy enough to get to once you know how (metro and tram). Was very hot and air con not included, however recommend getting it in summer as very hot. €10 gets you one night or up to four nights (seems silly since we only had it for one night and paid the same). Great restaurant just up the street, cheap good food. Would stay here again if I came back to Milan (which I probably wouldn't, although my girlfriend loved the shopping!)

This place was great, the only thing I didn't like was no air con or lack of a working one or even a fan, so I was very hot. But the shower was the best I've had, the food cooked by the chef was amazing for only €7.50 and a great common room with bar and friendly staff. A bit out of nice but well connected with private shuttle, or only a 20 minute walk from to the tram station (beware the steep hill, uphill coming into the villa). Would definitely stay here again if I had a fan :)

PLUS Camping Jolly

Venice, Italy

Overall not a bad place to stay. The cabins were quite cheap and clean, however if you are near the bar bring earplugs as the music is pumping until early hours of the morning. The staff were slow which was frustrating and on our last day I had been lining up to check out for half an hour. A bunch of girls pushed in to buy tickets and even after explaining to reception that I have been waiting for ages she still serves them first. Lucky we did not miss our train, I was already furious!

This campsite was in a lovely little spot, very tranquil and green. Buses come fairly regularly just down the road to take you into town and the staff are kind enough to show you which ones. We stayed in a lovely cabin which was cheap, clean and comfortable. The pool is great, very clean but you have to wear a swimming cap (a novelty at €2.50 each). However the restaurant not so good. Once seated took 45mins to order. When we asked for bill took another 45mins to get. Very frustrating!
