Shoestrings Airport Lodge

We stayed there twice! At first I didn't really like the place 'cause it seemed to be quite old and just not so attractive. But the place turned out to be really worth it- Rob provided us with great service driving us for free from and to the airport whenever we needed, and also to the train station (from which we could easily go to Sandton City and Rosebank, which is really great). Oh and there's the free breakfast and free towels! (which was really useful at the end of the trip.......) THANKS

2B Happy Accommodation

We booked 2 nights and stayed only one night. We didn't like the neightborhood, and it turned out to be very expensive to go to all the great shopping centers in Joburg (which is what we really want to do at the end of our trip!). We stayed in the 4 beds dorms and we didn't have a lot room to put out bags (though there is a big closet for your stuff if you want to unpack). But the staff was great and they even helped us get a taxi to the other hostel.

Little Brak Beach House

BEST place we stayed in in SA! It's more like a B&B than a hostel. The room was great, very CLEAN and spacious, and there was even a TV. The bathroom was wonderful! Again very clean and new. Not the best location but Philip drove us to Mossel Bay or to the closest ATM whenever we needed and was also very helpful with booking all kinds of attractions. He and his mother were really kind and even offered us to stay in our room until the Baz Bus came. Breakfast was also great! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :)
