Best Hostel City

Simple hostel in the centre of Stockholm. The storage room is tiny and can get packed literally to the ceiling easily on the mornings. The dinning area is a bit boring and too white. I miss some more common spaces.

Hostal Alicante

Madrid, Spain

Small hostel in the very centre of Madrid. This is not a young hostel but an old typical Madrid small hotel refurbished and converted to hostel. Perhaps the most annoying thing is that you do not receive an entrance key, so every time you want to get in the hostel, although available 24h, you must ring the bell.

Lost Inn Lisbon

Lisbon, Portugal

The hostel is in an old neighbour of Lisbon, close from the city very centre and the seafront. The facilities are refurbished and redecorated in a new 'happy' minimalist style, but the building was probably built more than one century ago. The lounge is big, with several sofas, a big flat TV and a HI-FI system with a Blu-ray reader. The kitchen is big and well equipped as well, and outside it there is a corridor with three round tables, ideal for meals. Breakfasts are average-good.

Albergue los Pascuales

Toledo, Spain

It is a 'normal' small hostel rather than a 'young' hostel. Do not expect to do any kind of party on it. It is managed by a guy in his 30's and his mum, really lovely. Simple yet new and neat facilities. In the hearth of Toledo old town. When checking in they charge you a fix extra fee of around 2 euros, claiming it is for the VAT. This is an illegal racket, but the price is still so cheap that we can accept it.

Hostel Meeting Point

Madrid, Spain

Hostel in front of the Madrid Royal Palace. The area is very calm however. Clean and neat facilities with modern decoration and free WIFI access. Breakfast is a bit scarce and the kitchen is not very big. I do not understand the complains about the showers, they are closed with a transparent-blurry wide rows plastic glass, so unless someone approaches the door really closely no one is going to see anything behind the door.

Flying Pig Beach Hostel

Hostel really close to the beach, clean facilities and a bar with cheap drinks.

Average hostel but with very cheap prices during week days (less than 10 pounds). The location isn't the best and the cleanliness could be better. The rest of things are right: good lounge/bar with free internet computers, normal rooms and a normal kitchen.
