The couple renting this apartment were so welcoming and friendly. Gave us welcome beers when we arrived on a hot day and checked in to make sure we knew about boat times when we were leaving. Apartment is good size, kitchen has all the basics required and there is a lovely balcony attached. only 10 minute walk to the centre of hvar along the waterfront. Only drawback was no air-conditioning but there is a fan

The lady who owned the apartment was so lovely and friendly but didn't have much English. Room itself was great which had air-conditioning, a lovely large ensuite and wifi. Location was brilliant, just off the main square in the palace.

Hi 5 Hostel

Best hostel we stayed in across Europe. Was only being opened for the summer so lockers still to be built and a few things to be fixed but the atmosphere and staff were amazing. Common room had everything you could have wanted with pool, fuseball, computers, comfy couches, tv, xbox and guitars. Dinners organised and events in the evenings planned with all the travellers. Fun staff who came along and offered lots of friendly advice and inside information on Budapest. Definitely stay here!!

Vila Mangart Hostel

Great place to stay. The family and staff are all so friendly and helpful. We arrived and were given chocolate while we waited and were then sat down with maps and brochures and were told everything to do in the area. Rooms were amazing, really comfortable, nicely decorated and clean. Kitchen facility was great too. Staff organised any activities we wanted to do and suggested local walks and cycles. It is a little far from the centre of Bled, a 15 minute walk which could be kind lonely at night.

Rooms were really big and clean. Fridge right outside the rooms was handy for keeping water and snacks. We arrived very early after a night train and the staff at reception were really nice and allowed us to check in at 9am which was great. Great location, a bit out of the centre of town but easy to walk to the main attractions in 10-15 minutes. stuffed animals as room keys were a great touch!!

Staff were friendly and helpful. overall atmosphere in the hostel was not great but that may just have been the people we were sharing a dorm with. rooms are very noisy especially at night time making it difficult to sleep but that's the price you pay for the central location in the middle of the red light district.

Hotel des Arts

Paris, France

Was fine for a night or two as long as you don't expect much. no proper baggage storage, we were told to leave our bags in a room beside reception that was dirty and had broken items in it and it wasn't locked. the bed in our room was really old and very uncomfortable. only positive thing was the price, it was relatively cheap for paris and location was close to a metro stop.
