All staff were really helpful and friendly. There are a couple of vending machines for guests downstairs. Very close to the motel are a mcdonald's, burger king, pharmacy, gas station and chinese restaurant. Bus stop nearby too but sometimes the buses don't always run even when they're meant to. Sun Studios is within walking distance aswell which is great. Only negative is that you have to pay around $3 for 24hours of wi-fi access. I'd stay here again.

Nice atmosphere. Free breakfast and coffee every morning was nice, kitchen was good size. Air-conditioning wasn't the greatest in our dorm room but it could've been worse. Nice area to sit just outside of room. Cool little bar downstairs, they serve food as well I think. Just around the corner from 6th street, amazing location. Really good bathroom too. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved San Fran. Nice old building. Liked that there was a lift to help take our bags up. Staff always good for answering questions. Just a couple blocks away from shops and a main train station, which was SUPER handy. There was some sort of convenience store next door. Natural light, window for fresh air, fridge, basin, wardrobe and TV in our 3 bed room. Nothing bad to say.

It was great to be greeted by Carl, he was super nice. Nice staff. Hard to find the actual hostel, no easily visible sign. June gloom set in for our stay there so it was never very nice looking outside. Great little cafe across the street and bars around the place. Very close to Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier is 45min walk away. Very far away from Hollywood and usual touristy activities. Traffic is always gross. Hire a car.

The location and look of the hostel was great. Staff were never friendly but always did what was asked of them. Having our own room air-con was awesome. Bathrooms were nice. Very close to the train station and a really nice cafe and couple of small grocery stores. Would stay there again.

The facilities in the hostel were great, especially the small cafe downstairs that seemed to be open most of the day/night. When we had trouble with strangers in the shared dorm the staff took care of it right away. Staff were friendly and answered all questions. There were lots of areas in the hostel where you could just sit & relax. The only improvement i'd like/suggest is better fans in the bathroom for ventilation in the hot summer.

Nice location, very close to a handy pharmacy. An air-con in the room was great. The shared bathroom facilities were poor so I would definitely recommend getting a private bathroom. Staff were nice. Not a hostel type atmosphere and no lounge or kitchen that I was aware of. Quite low budget accommodation so be aware that it's not going to be great.
