Very friendly and helpful staff with good tips for food. The hostel is very cozy and you meet lots of nice people. the hangout area is very nice. Unfortunately our double bed room was directly next to the hangout area. Eventhough it says it has to be quiet after 11pm, people and staff are sitting there and talk, listen to loud music. we did not get much sleep even after asking at 2am to be a little quieter. no electric light in your room, outlets work. other rooms might be not so noisy.

Good Location, nice, clean rooms. Dont take the doubelbed-room at groundfloor. It's very noisy and the kitchenlight shines directly into your room. There is basically no staff during the day that can help you. If there is staff, then earliest after 9pm and they talk loud, smoke (goes in your room) and listen to music (until 2.30am). we did not get much sleep, because the room on the ground floor is next to the hangout area. breakfast is ok. staff does not know more than lonely planet.

We've spent two nights at Jalan Jalan and it's been great. The hostel has its special atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff, who can give u good directions for the city. We've been sleeping in the 10 ppl dorm where every bed has its own fan. The Hostel is right in the middel of china town, so u get good food and many shops right around the corner as well at the weekend the lively night market. Overall, i would definately come back.
