Fantastic location. Right on the beach and lovely staff. Bungalows are very basic, which was not a problem but not that secure. Only real dislikes were that the shower and tap water in the room was sea water. So not much point in having a shower after the beach! And the noise from the Point Hostel, which is right next door was relentless. Banging music until 4/5am. So really hard to sleep.

Yes we do have salt watered showers and we agree it is not for everyone! As for the security issue we have 24/7 reception and we have a security guard who patrols the hostel throughout the night so you are as safe as you can be anywhere! The Point Hostel do occasionally throw parties you were just unlucky I am sure if you came back you would find the tranquility you are searching for! Normally sleep isn't an issue just the sound of the waves, much love the misfits x

Great location. Lovely staff. Had lovely private room. It's more like a Hotel than a hostel.

Beautiful room with lots of warm blankets, brilliant heating and lovely hot showers. Only bad thing about the room was it is so noisy. Traffic outside window is so loud, even though it's a tiny side street. Constant beeping of horn all night every night. We stayed 4days and each night the same! Breakfast is v poor and they are v strict on times. Even with half hour left before it finishes, they will not replenish the food. Staff not overly helpful or friendly. Shame as it's a beautiful hostel.

Probably is a nice hostel but we were put in a private room in a separate building across the road. So totally isolated from rest of hostel. Outside shower that was freezing cold and no wifi. Every time wanted anything had to cross road to the main hostel. Staff ok but not over friendly.

Stayed one night. It's a no frills, clean and basic hotel. Breakfast was ok and is in easy walking distance of the town. Only real downside was no security box available and lock did not seem that great on door. Staff didn't speak a word of English but are pleasant.

An ok Hostel if you just want a bed. We stayed during World Cup,so the dorms very noisy but this was to be expected. Rooms are clean but very cramped and basic. Showers are cold. If you are looking for a sociable hostel then this is not the place. They do have a bar but never any staff to serve you and it's like a ghost town. Location is good for the Metro. Only a few minutes walk away. If you like real Brazil this is the place as no tourists around at all.

Stayed in a double private room which was like a shoe box. Had been put together using sheets of ply wood. Was very dark and noisy. Shared bathroom upstairs not very clean. Never any staff to hand.
