Zostel Agra

Agra, India

The hostel is a short walk away from Taj Mahal in a peaceful big house, with lots of nice decorations on the walls. The best part of it is a laid back atmosphere, and very friendly staff - I got sick while in Agra and they allowed me to stay in bed waiting for my train even thought I was supposed to check out. They also have a restaurant with tasty food, but the service is very slow.

The Hosteller

Jaipur, India

It is located in a very nice area and with metro nearby it is easy to get around. The atmosphere is laid back and you feel like at home, thanks to the guy working at the reception. They also have good lunch and dinner deals with nearby restaurants. Rooms are ok, but with extremely hard mattresses which also didn't seem very clean. Bathroom wasn't cleaned daily, but in general was fine.

Hotel Fortside Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer, India

The whole place is very nicely decorated, rooms are clean and cute, and the view from the terrace is amazing. Aladin, the owner, is very friendly and helpful, always ready to give advice and offer a cup of tea. The only thing which was missing was a proper restaurant at the terrace - with it, this place would be just perfect!

Baba Haveli Guesthouse

Jodhpur, India

Location is good, food is reasonably priced and staff are friendly. However, rooms are not in good condition - I booked a single room which had nothing but a bed inside, plus the bathroom was not cleaned after the last guest (if ever). Also, there was a lot of noise from the street, and the terrace is in terrible condition. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Sevilla Inn Backpackers

Seville, Spain

All the staff were great, toilets were always clean, and the location is perfect. Walking tour with Juan was excellent! Lots of activities really help to meet people. For me, only 2 small downsides were the fact that some rooms are not situated in the main building and that there should be something salty for breakfast too. Still, I am coming back for sure!

Backpackers Al-Katre

Cordoba, Spain

Hostel is very new, right in the middle of touristic area, with very nice bathroom and kitchen. Breakfast is great. Still, I think it could be a bit cold to sleep there during the winter because everything is wide open.

Thanks for your comment, now we have everything prepared for winter ;) . It was so nice to meet you.

Best Island Hostel

Istanbul, Turkey

It is very very COLD in the hostel. There aren't enough toilets, showers, etc and existing ones aren't clean. There is no living room to hang out so it's hard to meet people. Good only for sleeping.

Mellow Yellow Villa

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Most of people working there aren't from Rio and couldn't give me the information needed. More than once they sent me to wrong place, including to the market which didn't even exist on that day. But the worst thing is that they forgot to pick my clothes from cleaning, so I had to leave the country without them. Even though they promised to send it on their expense, it never happened. Things like that shouldn't happen in such a high rated hostel.

Alpha Hostel - Salvador

Salvador, Brazil

Sometimes there was no hot water, but bigger problem was lack of toilet paper. Also, staff didn't speak english so it was very hard to get information needed.

Staff was helpful, and pool in backyard helped with atmosphere. Location is great, right in the middle of everything. The only problem was that it's not too clean :(
