B Hotel & Hostel

Hostel was only a short walk from Bedford Ave which is the centre of Williamsburg and within 5 minutes walk of Williamsburg bridge and subway stations. Hostel inside was clean and more like a cross between a hotel and a hostel. Card swipe door locks were good but all doors slammed and the place was noisy due to the partition walls between the rooms not reaching the ceiling - the gap at the top meant noise travelled between rooms and also meant privacy could be somewhat compromised.

Well located in the old city - everything is walkable from here. Reception staff were really helpful and VERY happy all the time, nice to be so welcomed. Air-con in the rooms was welcome. As was the balcony out the back to hang clothes. Good hostel.

Lima Limon Candelaria Hostel

First time in Bogota and really really enjoyed the two nights at Lima Limon. Cheap taxi ride from airport and a short walk from the centre of the city. Great homely but bright feel to this place, with colourful pictures and shades of wood everywhere. Really friendly staff and email queries answered promptly. Free breakfast of croissants and coffee was a plus. Bed was comfy, cat cute and beers in the fridge. No security box but we had booked a whole dorm so just padlocked the door.

Retrometro Backpackers

Retrometro Backpackers is a really new, friendly hostel. Recently renovated with lots of lovely textures and different spac es. Feels more like a communal home rather than your bog standard hostel full of young travellers buzzing in and out. Facilities were really clean, good showers and there was a large fridge and cooking apparatus if needed. Very close to the Kappabashi market and a short walk to Tawaramachi tube. Trustworthy staff, free internet and small safety boxes available. Excellent!

Stayed one night here and was treated to the summer party of free Takoyaki in the kitchen/communal area. Everyone encouraged to get involved and was a great evening. Short walk from Asukasabashi tube. Helpful and friendly staff who were accommodating and flexible. Fun feel to the place and enjoyed even with my dorm on the 5th floor up! Capsule style beds were very comfy and different experience.
