The location was absolutely fine, but there were several problems with this hostel. The first was security. There were no lockers available, giving you nowhere to keep valuables. Secondly, it was close to 40 degrees when I was there, and we had to share a single fan between the 8 beds. The bathrooms were grotty, and the wifi was terrible. The common area has potential and I feel there could have been more (music?) there.
(Need to get a grip of my life and stop leaving wanky reviews online) Great hostel. Have stayed here twice and will come back for sure when I'm back in BJ this summer. Ideal location, very clean and safe. Staff are great...put up with me for ~ significant amounts of time. Even took care of me when I got pukey. Offer gd tours to Great Wall. Good food. CHEAP BAR. Only 2 cons I can think of are -> no plug points by the beds and no mirrors in the dorms for vain ppl like me. I MISS YOU 365.xxx
My main issue with this hostel was the cleanliness. It really wasn't clean enough, and was pretty smelly. When I first arrived and made my bed, my mattress was covered in hairs, used plasters etc... The staff are really friendly and helpful though! I just think that the hostel really needs to improve on keeping clean, as competing places in the area are offering more.
This is easily the best hostel I've stayed in during my time in Japan. Ina, the owner, invited me to have dinner with the staff and their friends when I arrived, all of whom were really welcoming. The food and company wer great! I felt like I was part of a family. The hostel itself is in a good position, near to the subway and also to Namba station, from which you can reach all the best bits of the city. It's super clean, and had excellent showers and beds. THANK YOU INA!
Really lovely hostel. The staff were absolutely amazing. The hostel has a really nice common area and kitchen. The location isn't exactly central, but it is near to the station which is useful when going to surrounding areas. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Nice hostel! Really clean, and the staff were super helpful when it came to booking activities. The breakfast was a little on the pricey side I felt, but that's really the only negative comment I can make. I can really recommend this area for staying in; Kuramae station is just a stone's throw away, and there are lots of convenience stores around.
