Really enjoyed staying here. Great location right on Venice Beach, walking distance to the beach, skate park and basketball courts. Staff really friendly and helpful, very good free breakfast of oats, toast, coffee etc. Room i had was 212 and really hot and uncomfortable but otherwise ok. Showers not the best, at least on first floor, better upstairs. Cool common area to hang out in, i enjoyed the free comedy on Saturday night. Some rooms even have ocean views. Great times in Venice beach!!

This place is great for cheap stay, but not much else. I met 3 nice staff members during my stay, the rest were not very nice and not interested to talk/help/answer questions. Rooms comfortable though, i would avoid the nightly activities here, better off exploring the strip your own way in my opinion, great city!

Orange Village Hostel

Comfortable stay in downtown SF, close to shops, trams and Bart trains. Friendly staff and the free waffles for breakfast were amazing. Good lounge common area, rooms good and showers not too bad. Hostel has regular events, and there are always sociable people to meet here. I enjoyed staying here, in the Tenderloin district of town, be careful walking the streets late at night, lots of homeless people.

Stayed here for 2 nights during a trip to the Falls and it was amazing. Very modern, funky looking hostel with a really friendly, personable owner in Jeff who really is a great guy and has a great vision for the hostel. Dorm room of 6 was big and comfortable with plenty of space for luggage etc. Common area very good with TV, free fast WiFi, free tea/coffee and oatmeal for breakfast. Jeff is pretty relaxed and allows guests to bring in own food, drink and even alcohol which great.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thanks for the positive feed back. I'm so glad you enjoyed your two days with us. It is so easy to be relaxed with courteous and responsible guests. I'm simply glad we got our new kitchen completed by September and now everyone can do so much more with food and drink and basically enjoy the common area to a greater degree.

Loved staying here, as soon as I checked in there were really friendly people who spoke to me and made me feel really welcome, staff and other guests. Was really easy to fit in because of such friendly, quality people who stayed here. Bar area is good fun and the pool is a bonus although very shallow! There is lots of noise around with karaoke bar downstairs and mexican local bar next door so the music pumps really late (4am). If you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back of the hostel a

Very homely stay here in big southern style house, swimming pool was a great addition to cool off after a day of sightseeing in the heat. Staff friendly and helpful, cool mix of guests. Hostel does delicious dinners for $5 a plate which is great, also cooked breakfasts for a fee. Most rooms air conditioned which is what you need down south - very hot! Real good vibe around the place in the evenings when everyone hits Bourbon Street. Really enjoyed staying here! 2 min walk from tram for downtown.

Stayed here for 5 nights recently and loved it. Friendly staff, good atmosphere in the Hangout Bar with events organised every night and easy to meet fellow travellers. Free breakfast is good, and the new free dinners are amazing! Air con is ice cold which is what you want after a humid day/night out. South beach a 5 minute walk away, and try the little Latin take away joint right next door - delicious!

Very comfortable stay, friendly helpful staff and great big split level common area. Hostel is a 20 minute walk from city centre so no real need for the metro to get around, except for heading to the airport. Comfy beds and good happy hour 2 for 1 Danish beers. Stay here!

Stayed here 4 nights, and was not disappointed, cant think what all the complaining people in previous reviews are on about. Ok, the one criticism would be the small bathroom and toilet in the room (6 bed dorm) but it is a hostel not a hotel and actually the windows DO open, I had no problems with hot temperatures as the room was always well ventilated. Friendly, helpful staff and good bar area. Wifi very good also. A "free" walking tour leaves from the hostel each day which is a great way to me

Really enjoyed this place, nice friendly Hungarian staff who speak english and are helpful and informative. Good modern facilities and well set out, outdoor area, big common room and cellar kitchen. My particular room (E5) was always so stuffy and hot, which made sleeping uncomfortable, and it was by the corridor, which meant all the noise from people coming and going plus the beeping doors filtered straight into the room. Otherwise though I can't fault this place, good stay here.

Stayed here for 4 nights recently as I was doing a tour of the Amalfi Coast. I was really impressed with the facilities for a campsite. First two nights I stayed in a 3 bed tent which was basic but comfortable then the final two nights was in a Superior Bungalow which are very new and amazing. Restaurant and bar are very good, with some amazing food and cheap drinks. There is a supermarket on site, laundry as well as a fantastic pool area with bar. All in all a great place to stay, if you stay h

Lovely new hostel, set up near Trindade area of Porto. Hostel itself quite small, somewhat lacking with showers and toilets - only 1 each floor (3 floors total). Staff seemed disinterested at times, and getting their attention was hard. Good common area/bar though with a big projection screen. Overall i did enjoy the hostel, comfy beds and very good set up.

Enjoyable stay here, lovely hostel with good facilities. Located right near Bairro Alto, where the nightlife happens in Lisbon. Only negative are the many hills and stairs so close to the hostel, but if you are fit then you will be fine!! Nuno was a great guy and Daniela extremely beautiful!!

Older hostel, decent location in the heart of town and beach close by. What i didnt like was the wifi always cutting out on you, best bet to use the computers, they were more reliable. Kitchen was ok though i didnt cook in it, good common room too. Rooms very simple and quite possible over priced for the condition of the hostel. Slightly boring vibe around the place but otherwise nice staff and helpful too.

Very nice rooms, comfortable. Couldnt get the TV to work but I didnt go there to watch TV. Air Con worked perfectly and premises very secure. Located on Calle Hurtaleza, so I was thinking there would be loads of noise at night time, but the rooms are set back very far from the street itself so we heard no noise whilst sleeping. Breakfast of bread/toast, biscuits, cereal, included which was good. Bathroom quite small but overall an enjoyable stay here.

Great location and facilities, kitchen first class for cooking own meals. Rooms slightly pokey, i stayed in a 10 bed and the room really should have only had maybe 6 beds max. Hostel itself well set up, only 1 washer and dryer so can take time to get in to use. Bar/common area was very good, and nightly meals with a drink for €6, decent value. 3 bike hire shops quite close by too. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Older hostel, but lovely charm and character, portrayed brilliantly by the owner Miguel and his dog, Nila. Extremely chilled vibe here, right in the middle of the old town only a 5 minute stroll from the beach, waterfront and El Barrio. Rooms fine, comfy beds, with ceiling fans. Communal kitchen, no breakfast though however the Mercadona is very cheap to do a grocery shop. It was sad to leave!

Great location in Dublin city centre, easy to get number 16 bus from the airport to just around the corner from the hostel. Young girls on reception were helpful, even offering me an umbrella to use in the downpour outside. Guinness storehouse 20 min walk away, and a free walking tour leaves from down the road. Rooms spacious, and Wednesdays there is a free dinner the hostel kindly puts on to the first 40 people who sign up. Kitchen doubles as the common room also. Street noise is very loud!

By far the best hostel i have EVER stayed in, in terms of Location, Modern layout, cleanliness, the super comfortable beds, the large dorm rooms. Everything was great. Wifi great and free drinking water too. Especially helpful was one of the staff members a man who has short, blond hair and Scandanavian looking, he recommended me and some friends a great Tapas bar one night and was just generally very helpful. Highly recommend staying here, the major sights are only a 20-30 min walk away max.
