This is a new hostel not very far from the beach. A group of young artists lives and works here. They are a lively and helpful bunch. The dorms are on the third level - they are clean, airy and spacious. There is a big terrace with a swing where you can hang out with others. One thing to note is many dorms have Asian style squat toilets. They are clean but might be inconvenient to some people. However western style toilets are also available. Overall a very good place to stay.
Great staff, big spacious dorms, clean bathrooms, good atmosphere and affordable price.
If the hustle bustle of Chawang is too much for you, this place is a good getaway. The staff is super friendly and atmosphere is nicer than most other hostels. The bathrooms were spacious and not dirty, but they could have been cleaner. The beach near the hostel is so so, it has a lot of sharp objects (in the sea bed, not the beach) which makes entering the water dangerous. It's very affordable and a lot of fun to stay here. The beds were huge. All in all, very positive experience :)
The single room was too congested and small. There are no ensuite dorms, but the common toilets and bathrooms are clean. One portion of the hostel is located across the road and its a big hassle going there from the reception esp when it's raining. Nevertheless, location is excellent, bar/restaurant is really nice and staff is friendly and helpful. Maybe they could have some more English books in the shelf :)
The hostel has paid a lot of attention to character, bar/restaurant and other common amenities. but the rooms have very low roofs and one portion of the hotel is detached to the main portion which makes it difficult to go to and from the room. Nevertheless the toilets and bathrooms are clean. The location is awesome, just meters away from the west lake, character is nice and staff is friendly. it would be nicer if they had more English books.
