Sabah Pansiyon

We booked a double room well in advance, but when we got there we were sent to their "cousin's pension". The "Lazer pension" right in front of Sabah. Regarding "Lazer" we have nothing good to say, the room was unacceptably dirty, including dead cockroaches on the floor. Breakfast was nice but I would never book anything with this pension again.

The place doesn't seem much at first, but our dinner there was really nice as well as the breakfast. The couple that runs the hostel is really friendly and nice. The site says that the rooms have AC but ours didn't... The hostel is 15min walking from the "cotton mountain" Its a simple but comfortable place

Traveller's Cave Pension

Goreme, Turkey

The place is lovely, with lots of places to hang around and stay away from the hottest hours of the day. They can organize all the tours you need with competitive prices. We particularly enjoyed the fact of being able to check in before the normal time and being able to take a shower and use the pension way after the check-out time. The pension can be a bit hard to find at first as there are 4 pensions with similar names. Highly recommended

Nobel Hostel

Excellent location but the description is highly deceiving. There is NO AC in the rooms, which makes sleeping impossible in Istanbul during the summer. Internet worked for 1 day (we stayed 4). The airport transfers are very expensive (we payed 12.5€/person, while the regular service costs 5€). The terrace is wonderful to spend a few hours late at night. Given the amount of hostels nearby, wouldn't stay here again.
