It's a decent hostel, but a lot of basic things are left to be desired. I was mainly unimpressed with their lack of basic maintenance that could go a long way (as basic as €3 bottle of industrial oil). For example, i was in an 8 bed room. The door made a horrible squeak and the lockers under the bed an even more ridiculous loud squeak. So, even if one was trying to be respectful of others, it was imposible not to make these loud ridiculous noises.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!

It's a decent hostel. I would encourage the owner to visit other top hostels as a few changes could make it into a top hostel: curtains in each bed, cozier common rooms, credit card machine instead of them taking down your whole card number and running it manually, hygiene management.

I've traveled 90 countries and this is OK now of the top hostels I've ever stayed in. Everything from the quality of the beds, showers, kitchen, etc. Extremely clean. Lovely and helpful staff and very well located. Congratulations for such outstanding operation. It's my first 10 score to any host. Cheers.

A decent hostel for the price. It was impossible however, to be in the kitchen as it was always infested by very annoying flies. It was like this the 4 days I was there. I would close off the kitchen completely, clean it thoroughly and fumigate professionally.

Extremely well located right in front of the bus station. It is clean and the terrace view is absolutely fantastic.

I came here after a crazy world cup trip and it was truly fantastic. A place like home with comfortable beds, a great rooftop and very outstanding staff always ready to help. Thanks!

Decent place at Good price. The staff is very nice and accommodating, but quite disorganized (I was changed beds twice before being moved to another room). The location is quite decent as you got quick access to transportation and about 15 min walk to downtown. Beware that this is about two blocks uphill. Good little exercise.

What a fantástico hostel. The room is super clean with AC and bathroom (I only had to exchange mattresses because some of them are pretty uncomfortable). The roof top is great to make friends and the breakfast is unexpectedly great with a super sweet lady taking care of it.

They sold me a 8 bed dorm, but don't have such a room. It was a 12 bedroom. Staff was apologizing about it and nice over all. Two bathrooms of which one was our if order... Impossible to shower or use. Waited one hour for my turn. Still a decent hostel

Other than the strange way the lockers are set up (they manage the locker and key), this place is outstanding. The owners are always making sure guests are having the best experience, staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the hostel is cozy and clean. It was a great stay. Thanks!

I had a fantastic time at this hostel. The facilities are as good as they can get for a tiny hostel at the bottom of the mountains. Staff is fantastic.

Fantastic hostel! The very good: Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, the location is superb (only 10 min walking from Red Square). The Facilities are quite good and improving. The curfew hours are enforced. The good: This hostel clearly understands hospitality, backpacking, traveling. They strikes the right balance between a social hostel and a good place to rest. The bad: They do not have a Mexican flag anywhere to be seen. I cannot take any hostels without it seriously.

Hostel is pretty well located, the beds and rooms are decent. I had a good night sleep. Breakfast is charged separately. The bad: Receptionist guy bluntly ignored me for a good 10 minutes as he was hitting full on this guest girl who was checking in. Unbelievably, he pass me right over again as another female BEHIND ME was checking in too (I was invisible). Got to admit that he got game as both girls seemed to like his advances, but c'mon brother, you're at freaking reception. Do your job.

Not the best location, but the hostel delivers a decent night sleep and it has some good common areas.

Terrible experience!!! The guy at the desk (he said his name was Angelo) discriminated me out flat. I am a Brown Mexican, yet, after 54 countries I had never been discriminated in such a way. I had no reservation and he told me straight out and in an EXTREMELY RUDE manner there where no beds. I then booked it on my phone online in front of him (HW was showing several beds available). He had not discriminated against me had I spoken to him in English, another staff member confessed.

Having been to Rio in 4 occasions, I now know it is very hard to beat this place! Perched on the City's most authentic Carioca neighborhoods where I've had the best experiences in Rio. With a stunning view over the city too., the terrace alone makes this hostel stand out. The staff is very friendly, very knowledgeable, and multilingual. Rooms are quite nice and breakfast is incredible. We stayed for a week....What a pleasant stay! THANK YOU!

This is a great, clean, affordable, well-located hostel. I originally stayed one night and two more when I came back from Chapada Diamantina. Their beds are probably the best I've seen in any hostel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. On Tuesdays there are massive parties all over the city and one particularly right outside the hostel that doesn't let off until 3am, so plan on partying because sleeping is not possible. In all, a great hostel all around. La vida loca BAHIA!

The highlight of this hostal is it's staff--specially Federico who is always in a good mood and ready to help. Other than that, it is quite a mediocre hostel in terms of infrastructure and comfort. Small rooms are packed with 15 freaking 3-story bunk beds. They are quite shaky and you will wake mostly everyone unintentionally or be awaken by anyone getting there late. Thank you very much for the common areas as they're awesome, YET I spend most of the day outside and not in your common area.

I was offered a ride from the Airport for $18 USD and told by e-mail that it was the cheapest possible for a taxi. This may be truth for a private car (not sure), but I got to the hostel for $3 USD on a van from the airport. That's big money in Vietnam (2-3 nights of a hostel stay) HOSTEL: Good hostel; clean, with friendly staff and very decent breakfast. They do try to push you their tours in a not very seaming less way.

BEDBUGS and INSECTS alert!!! My friends changed rooms twice and by the end of their stay they were full of bedbug bites. They got some kind of refund. I stayed in the second floor and though I got lucky I had no bedbugs, I did have to kill a few cockroaches. Staff is nice and helpful and guy setting up the breakfast in the morning is great. Location is decent as you have easy access to the Metro though I'd recommend you walk everywhere.

Though the worse experience had to do with two Chinese Guests chewing god knows what herbs all night long and spitting it in the floor, one cannot hold the hostel accountable for other guests. The Rooms: Pretty darn dirty. My room had table full of dirty dishes (WTF) and a closet full of dirty clothes (cluttered). Looks like some of the guests live there. The Staff: They speak barely any English and are quite rude. We stayed one night and left.

This is a very decent hostel and my first in China. The staff is great and very helpful. Rooms are big and lockers are provided. Food is good, but you can buy it much cheaper on the street. A bit of hastle to have to go upstairs to take a shower. Other than that, a good stay.

Fantastic Hostel run by its young cool owner who is always ready to help you in any possible capacity. Close to the subway and in the heart of a great shopping/sighseeing/party area. Very recommended.

Great Hostel; clean, well located, very decent breakfast (you cook you own eggs and toast). The best of this hostel is its staff; friendly and helpful. Specially 강우삼. She is so incredibly nice.

Good hostel ran by the owner. Kim is genuinely interested in providing the best experience to the guest and goes out of his way to do so. He offered me fruit in a few occasions just because and was always walking around smiling to everyone. He also helped me chose the places I should visit with my limited time. The 6 bedroom shared room is pretty basic equipped with austere bunk beds and a hanger and the shower is also pretty basic. Location is decent with a subway at about 10 min walk.

A decent hostel at a good price, but its seriously lacking some very basic "hostel" friendly stuff like a luggage room and lockers. I arrived at around 1:30pm and the only staff available did not speak any English. Since they don't have a locker room, I had to leave my backpack by the entrance literally hoping it would be there when I came back. They got three showers only and they are all in the lower floor. I was on the 4th floor, so this can be a bit inconvenient.

Great hostel! I appreciate the semi-privacy of their bunk set up (you got curtains in all of them). Also you have your own light, and your plug--all very convenient. The common area is big and nice and their internet access is pretty decent throughout the hotel. Got an elevator, lockers, big luggage room. They are pretty well equipped. The price are a bit steep, but I think its worth paying an extra few dollars a night to stay here.

Really good clean hostel! Its run by all woman, so it is pretty darn clean! Everyone who works there is very nice, with great language skills and quite helpful. Extra Plus because Meg has been to Mexico! Showers are pretty good, and there is free shampoo. Good internet, and Laundry. I've stayed here two nights and will be back a third.

Not a bad hostel, BUT: I was sent to the property a few blocks away where. 1. There is only one shower in the whole building (4 floors of multiple rooms). Be prepared to wait to shower. 2. ZERO atmosphere. 3.. INTERNET is absolutely Horrible. No matter which floor you are and where in the building. Is just horrible. I stayed a total of 5 nights here. Never worked even though everyone complained. One had to walk 3 blocks to the other building to get decent internet. No fun in winter.

A house suited hostel; not bad. The staff is pretty helpful (the owner anyways, very cool guy). I dealt with a middle aged woman at check in who was quite indifferent and seemed bothered I was checking in--to be fair I interrupted her lunch... but still. Rooms are not very cozy and beds could be adjusted. Good hostel nevertheless.

Great Hostel, great staff, great location + AWESOME breakfast. I have stayed in many hostels around the world and I was so very happy my best rated hostel in my book is in my own country. 1. Staff: Pretty damn helpful. They will answer any question you may have + they would go out of their way to tell you where, how, why, when, who. 2. Location: Very central. You're two blocks from the main plaza, walking corridors, sights, etc. 3. BREAKFAST: are you serious! ?

A very good, very clean hostel. Staff is very helpful and the facilities are quite nice! The location is not bad, but you have to walk quite a bit to get to the Bus station and you are about 5 blocks away from the main downtown plaza. Overall, excellent experience.

I was well aware of the conditions of this hostel before I arrived--the reviews are all true. Yet, it was far cheaper than any accommodation in Paris. Location is decent, you're 10-15 min away from major landmarks and there is a metro station right in front of the hostel. The staff are all mayor a s s holes, save Javier from Venezuela. They did steal my food twice. Internet can be a challenge. If you can afford a bit more, stay where else.
