Surf & Waves Morocco Hostel

Taghazout, Morocco

I really enjoyed my time at Surf & Waves Morocco Hostel. Hassan is the King of Taghazout; everyone in the town knows and loves him. The hostel is basically a large house so it feels like you're just sleeping over at a friends place by the beach. It has a super relaxed vibe and everyone generally gets along pretty well and goes out surfing together. Hassan will love you forever if you play the cardgame "bullshit" with him. Great times!

Great hostel; one of my favourites so far. Good price & the 8 turtles in the terrace are a great addition to the vibe of the hostel. Free breakky is always a winner too! NO Bedbugs ohh yeahh!!

Makuto Backpackers Hostel

Granada, Spain

Makuto Backpackers has a special place in my heart. It has been by far one of the most friendly and welcoming hostels I have stayed at over the past 3 months. It's a small enough hostel for the staff to know you by name & the outdoor common area is a great way to meet other travellers. Makuto has a real relaxed and laid back vibe with a tree house, zen area and hammocks. Definitely worth checking out if you're ever in Granada!
