The Fort Boutique Hostel, York, England

Hands down the best hostel I ever stayed at. Great location and the nicest staff. Not cheap, but York is not big, so since you won't be there for very long, see it as treat :) Highly recommend it!

Queen Elizabeth Chelsea, London, England

The Hostel is in a nice quiete part of London. Our room was almost never locked, so I would question the security. However, all in all a good bargain, if you don't need to be in the very centre of things.

Due to the heatwave in London at the time, people were leaving the door open to allow air to circulate around the room. I believe you were even consulted at the time, and personally agreed. If any one did not want the door open at night, then it would have been closed for the night. Security takes preference over comfort. If you have any valuables, when staying in an hostel, you were are best using a locker. Sorry you did not enjoy your stay.

An expensive but nice and clean hostel in a nice part of London that you might not normally get to see. With a high price a would ecpect such services as WIFI in the rooms and a real breakfeast, but all in all a quite okay bargain

It's a completely fine hostel, in the only area of Beijing that I would ever wan't to stay in. The "mattresses" are made of stone, so if you need your soft-as-a-cloud comfort this is not for you. But kind and helpful staff and value for your money.

Wada Hostel in Guilin, Guilin, China

Wada is hands down the best chinese hostel i have had the pleasure of staying i. Super friendly and competent staff who helped with everything i needed. The lack of wifi in the rooms are a minus, but they make up for it by giving full access to everything (FB, Youtube eg.) on the common room wifi. Highly recommend it! I was supposed to use 2 nights there, atayd for 4 + one a week later.
