Little Hanoi Hostel

Hanoi, Vietnam

Little Hanoi is in a great spot, within walking distance of most of the Old Quarter. The staff went to great lengths to ensure our stay went smoothly, helping us to book train tickets to Sapa and allowing us to leave our luggage with them when we went to Halong Bay for a few days. There is a big emphasis on the 'home' aspect and we were definitely comfortable: we had a huge room for $12 each with all the necessary facilities. Will definitely be coming back!

Nhi Trung Hotel

Hoi An, Vietnam

Nhi Trung is 200m from the heart of the Old Town and has very friendly staff, headed by the owner Mr Thanh. Although we had some issues with the electricity in our room and the breakfast wasn't anything special, it has all the necessities. Try to get a room that isn't on the street front, it's one of Hoi An's busiest in the morning so there's no chance of a sleep-in. Having said that, the bed was comfortable and the laundry service great. Highlight is the location, 2 mins from the centre.

Danang Nemo Hotel

Da Nang, Vietnam

Good location near the beach, with clean rooms and friendly staff. They were particularly accommodating despite our arrival in the early hours of the morning; the manager woke up and welcomed us personally to our room. Would stay again when in Da Nang as it's only 500 metres away from the shore!

NgocThao GuestHouse

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

Perfect location in the middle of the action, with basic but clean facilities. Great value for money; we were very comfortable in a large bed with ensuite, wifi, TV and A/C. A smallish lobby with not much interaction with other guests but the highlight was definitely the staff. They bent over backwards to help us whenever we needed it - without them I don't know how we would have navigated the bus network - their handwritten notes in vietnamese made it easy to ask locals how to get around!

Las Musas Hostel

Don´t expect top notch amenities but you can expect to meet lots of people during your stay. Lots of social activities and a great common area where everyone hangs out and drinks. The laundry is all done for you by the cleaning staff for a small fee. A bit out of the heavy nightlife area which is a good thing for noise levels, but it´s only a 5 min walk away anyway. Perfect location for us, and great staff.
