This is the 2nd time we stayed at OkiDoki. Clean rooms, very comfortable beds and friendly staff. The breakfast is very basic but you can easily add extras from the supermarket. Only downfall is the number of toilets and showers for the amount of guests. There are 4 showers and 3 toilets available and sometimes there can be a bit of a wait but the showers are hot and have good pressure. Laundry is cheap and they now have a tour desk available which is a great additive from our stay last year.

Great for what it is.... a beach house! The room and bathroom were clean, breakfast was simple but fresh and you are 10 mins from the beach. Surfing equipment is available to rent and for very cheap. Supermarket and cafes are also near by. Only improvement I would say would be the cleanliness of the kitchen, but it did the job. It is a very relaxing place.

Nice hostel, very close to the international bus station and also bus stop to get into town. Buses are quite regular so we had no issues getting to town when needed. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly, a big thank you to Jessica for all her help with our tours etc! The 10 bed dorm (advertised as 8 on hostelworld) was a little cramped. Beers at their bar are overpriced for the size, R3.50 for 269ml but the mini market /bakery up the road sells cheap beers & has a sit in option.

Absolutely loved this hostel, the owners are so lovely, very helpful with anything you need however some other staff could be more friendly. The all you can eat bbq was amazing- only R28, we were also lucky enough to be there for free pasta night. We thought the location was fine, it was close enough to supermarkets, atm and bus station. Only improvement would be the cleanliness of the showers and dorm floors, there was a lot of build up of all sorts under the beds.

This is a great hostel with loads of potential! Nacho and staff are very helpful and friendly willing to help with just about everything. We had an awesome stay and if we ever return to La Paloma we would not stay anywhere else.

Really great hostel. They have very friendly staff, great free breakfasts, free wine every night and lots of tours to choose from. The thermal pools and wine tours were great value. The showers are cold but in the heat of Mendoza they are a good chance to cool down. Only negative would be the beds, some could use a upgrade.
We are very happy about that. I hope to see you againg and change de beds.. The best for you! Flor-Hostel Empedrado

Some dorms were too small for the amount of people and the kitchen was the same. Some nights you couldn't get in the kitchen to make dinner. Some staff were very helpful and the place is very clean. Very spacious common room but it is separate to the rest of the house.

Very comfortable and large beds. Kitchen utensils could use an upgrade, for example there were no knives for chopping. Free breakfast is very basic but you can always add your own extras.

Hostel is very small for the amount of beds there. The common area would be very tight if the hostel was full. We were in an 8 bed dorm with only 5 people in it and there was no room to move with luggage taking up most of the floor room. We had some cash stolen from our locker. Staff were helpful on the night with providing us with a new lock, but we are still waiting for our email of the video footage of who entered our room from the managers. Fake key was left, could be an inside job.

Awesome hostel! The staff are really friendly and helpful, the common areas are nice and big with lots to do. We liked the location as it is out of the hustle bustle but not to far out that you can't pop down into the historical centre. Beers always cold which is must for us ☺ Thanks for having us guys, who knows, we might return for a 4th time!

When we arrived we were given no information on the hostel/ its facilities. The hostel is still under renovations and our room was 2 doors down from the main building which had no WiFi only 1 hot shower (the other bathrooms were still under construction). The room we stayed in had no flooring, still concrete only, and the bathrooms were not cleaned over the course of our stay. When we asked about the tours the young female staff member was not helpful and it was a struggle to gain information

Great value for money and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable and we always had hot showers. The breakfast was also worth the extra 7 soles!! The only downside was the atmosphere as it was so quiet.

The hostel was perfect for a couple needing a break from dorm rooms. The staff were very friendly but no English, which was not a downer at all. Rooms were very clean and comfortable , showers were hot. The egg was delicious for breakfast. Has lovely terrace but not a social place if you are a solo traveler.

Our 7 bed dorm was very bright as all 3 windows had no curtains and the sunrise hit our room first thing (our dorm did not have privacy curtains on the bunks as advertised, there was only 1 dorm that did). Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the terrace was a nice place to relax in the sun. In regards to meeting people, it is what you make it. Showers were hit and miss on hot water but clean.

The hostel was short staffed so long waiting periods for check in, info on the town, washing etc. The "sky bar" was not open and they ran out of beer on the first day we arrived. Beer still not available on our 4th day staying at either properties. We stayed at both properties and each morning the breakfast ran out and all cups and plates were dirty so couldn't be used. Also the non-smoking signs throughout didn't make a difference as people were smoking in non-smoking areas.

The owner and family were really lovely and very helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was good - very close to the port and short bus ride to the old town and beaches.
