Showers are like being spat on. Some staff are nice and helpful, some are rude and uninterested. Overpriced tours that are the worst we've experienced - tour guide was actually a mechanic who had never done the canyon before. Not many facilities. Two showers per about 20 people, maybe more. To top it off some of my stuff was taken.

The bunk beds are broken so you have to be careful where you lie on the mattress to avoid falling through it and onto the person below, it was over booked so people were sharing bunks and sleeping on sofas and blowup beds on the floor, the sewage pipe burst over our bags and the floor - meaning we were sleeping in what smelt like a Bangkok toilet at 5am on a full moon party, and there are only 3 toilets so wait time was about 20 mins and people were just brushing their teeth outside on the grass

These guests stayed here over Easter when the city was full, and they were an overbooking who I still accommodated. Unfortunately it is true that a drain burst in the 17 bed dormitory. This was horrible and it was not possible to get a plumber after midnight during the Easter holidays. I took Kristina's rucksack home at 1am and washed it and then woke up at 5am in order to put it into the dryer so that it would be clean and dry for her early departure. The drain & beds have now been repaired
