The directions to this hostel are wrong and incomplete. We spent 3 hours getting there from the port and we weren't given a map or directions when we checked in. It wasn't clear how to access the rooftop garden. Staff was good and the key card access system was excellent. It appeared to have a good vibe and the breakfast was plain but had the basics. Rooms cleaned daily. Wifi is excellent. Wished we could have seen the rooftop but we ran out of time in the end. The area is good too.

Excellent. The host - I forget his name - is the best you will meet. Free port transfers so we met him as soon as we got off the ferry. So friendly and knowledgeable and proud of Naxos! He suggested several itineraries and he was always available if you needed to ask a question. The room was cleaned daily and was spacious and airy. Just a 500m walk to the shops - not a boring walk so you won't notice. Nice and quiet at night. A nice touch was the drying rack outside each room for wet swimmers.

Mixed feelings about this hostel. There is no lift and 80+ steps (4th floor). The welcome was brilliant: the guy was friendly, thorough, helpful and even carried my suitcase all the way up. BUT we never saw him again, or any other staff member. Not even during staffed hours. The cleaner settled our bill! New guests buzzed the apartments but went unanswered, making it hard to sleep during the day if you were tired. The room itself was nice with a TV, but given the higher price we expected more.

Not recommended for summer. Our private room had no aircon (on sweltering nights it was cooler outside). Room was dusty and the small ensuite is in need of a renovation. The bath mat was never changed and got dirty, fast. They seemed to accommodate dorms as they had two dedicated large, modern bathrooms. The huge table in the room capsized whenever you tried to use it so it was a waste of space. Reception only staffed certain hours; staff is excellent. Overall no aircon was the biggest problem.

Dear guest, first of all thanks for being part of Leonardo House. In moment of booking you read the facilities and you get all what is on description, you are complaining about something what is not written, however you had a fan in the room wish is plus what you didn't consider. All bathrooms are renovated in the same moment, including yours and would be more helpful if you communicated with me and staff about your needs instead ignoring welcome notes every morning.

Staff were very welcoming and nothing short of courteous. We were melting in the heat when we arrived and were promptly given a large bottle of water and shown to our room. The room was very large by European standards which was a real treat. Free breakfast, TV (Italian channels) and a large bathroom topped it off for us. The ensuite was separate to the room, and with a key system we had to lock it when we were finished. The keys are very noisy at night. Aircon was just perfect.

Staff were always smiling and helpful; they seemed genuinely happy to have us there which made us feel welcome. The room was impeccable. We had some unexpected bonuses such as a TV with international channels and a balcony, which made us very pleased! Towels were changed daily. The only downside was having to drop your keys at reception before going out, but we got used to this quickly and it wasn't an issue because they remembered us and always had the key ready when we returned.

Probably a little overpriced for the small size of the room but that is a city-wide issue. Although we had a pleasant stay there were some shortcomings. The room was not thoroughly cleaned before we arrived. The 'ensuite' is so tiny you would struggle to sit on the toilet normally if you were slightly larger than the average person. They changed our towels everyday which was great. The building itself is beautiful. Perhaps with a bit more of an atmosphere or activities it would have been better.

This hostel was very bright, modern and secure. There are no lifts. We were on the 5th floor of the building. As with many European hostels, the room looks spacious until you open two suitcases and then space is limited. The free breakfast was great, but if you don't eat bacon you can have crepes (too sweet) and cereal (small portion). So we preferred to eat out at some of the nearby cafes serving breakfast. Room itself was great, had a standing air con which is great in summer. Overall great.

Staff were just lovely and so helpful. The room was well appointed with luxuries not normally found in a hostel like a renovated ensuite, tv, etc. The location is also very good. If we had any suggestions, it would be to put more lights in (hard to look through suitcase) and do some soundproofing so we can't hear what people are up to next door at 2am! We were still awake so not a big deal. We wished we had stayed for more than one night and will probably be back. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

We had low expectations for a hostel but this was pretty poor. We were in a twin ensuite, which was outside so separate from the other rooms. Their washing machines were right outside which only the staff used, and boy did they use it. We couldn't sleep. The ensuite was a joke. The sink is in full view of the bedroom. The toilet was somewhat separate (can hear everything) and the shower was too small to actually close the curtain. It really felt like they just converted their utility shed.

Breakfast was lacking: the staff were rude and preferred to yell in French rather than speak reasonably to you. The laundry facilities contained 2 washers and 1 dryer, which led to queues and 'deals' made between other guests. Our towels got dirty and wet from our leaking shower and yet we had to basically beg for new towels, at which point he gave us ONE towel. Wi-fi is only available in the lobby and it requires renewal every 30 mins. This place is a business - they don't care about people.

This was a nice hostel. It has everything you need, except for internet in the rooms. This is common in Europe, however trying to justify their decision by talking about 'electromagnetic pollution' and 'socialising' didn't impress us. We found their lobby to be largely unsociable - everyone just wanted internet. And for those of us staying in private rooms and not needing or wanting to socialise, it seems ridiculous to impose this rule on us, too. It was one simple thing, but we won't be back.

We had a great time at this hostel. It's close to Westbahnhof station and it was easy to get to main city areas from there. The room was very nice and modern and clean. It would have been nice to have internet in the rooms, rather than making us go to the lobby to use it, where there was nowhere to sit. Also please include breakfast in the room price. Overall a good experience.

We found it difficult in this windowless hostel. It was so dark that we never knew what the time was, we were always tired, the lights were very dim and we always had to leave the door open because it was so hot. Do not stay here for more than a couple of days or you will be tired and frustrated by the end. If the lights had been brighter this may have made a difference. You have to rent all sheets and towels (extra fee). There is no free/paid breakfast and the hostel is only staffed until 8pm.

The lack of signs makes it hard to find the hostel from Kongens Nytorv station. We had to ask someone. Besides this, it is located very close to the main shopping area and Nyhavn, where there are many restaurants. The breakfast could have been included in the price. Staff were quite helpful. A TV in the room would have been a welcome addition and internet/wifi facilities in the rooms is an essential but unfortunately, there was none. Overall we had a great time, but it could have been better.

Right across the road from the main station, staff were helpful and the room itself was decent, if on the small side. The ensuite however was a bit ridiculous, I imagine it was what a shower in an airplane might be like. The water from the shower would get all over the bathroom floor. It would have been nice if they had told us at the start that we had to 'request' housekeeping daily or it would not be done. A TV in the room would have been a nice touch and please include breakfast in the price!

This hostel is great for meeting people or just doing your own thing - we found the atmosphere to be really busy but when we wanted to go to sleep, we couldn't hear the noise at all (2nd floor, above the bar), which was excellent! Also located near everything you could possibly want, very convenient. Just some suggestions, a TV in the room would be nice, having the sink in the main room rather than bathroom is just uncomfortable and too exposed and the floor could do with actual floor coverings.

No wifi in the rooms. Overall we enjoyed it, however a lift would have been nice. Dragging our luggage to the third floor was not so nice. Complete Irish breakfast was great (and included in the tariff!) and the kitchen staff are really lovely and look after you. Maybe a bell at reception also - we were stuck trying to pay the bill at the end of our stay and late for the airport and we had to wait for the one person on duty to arrive.

The room was spacious enough and there is wifi and a tv. The bathroom smelled awful and we had to air it out every time we got home. Breakfast was average. We didn't see many other people around. It would have been nice to be able to check in a bit earlier (we arrived at 7am). Felt like we were told to leave our luggage and shown the door, we couldn't take a few minutes to consult a map as the woman kept prompting us. Had to return the key each time we left, like kids. Be prepared for stairs.

Where to begin. Don't waste your money here. Limited hot water, toilet doesn't flush, shower leaks, double bed with ensuite turned out to be approximately a 2x3m room plus the bathroom, ridiculous for two people. We were stepping over suitcases the entire time. Staff are unhelpful except for the guy. They were more interested in chatting with each other. Wifi is only downstairs in crammed little reception area. Scant breakfast - bread, yoghurt and cereal basically. We expected much, much better.

A lovely apartment type dwelling, mere metres from the metro exit. There are only three bedrooms in the house so it is quiet and cosy whilst at the same time it offers modern facilities including a spacious renovated bathroom and quite a large sized bedroom (we stayed in the smallest of the three). Free breakfast and internet included. Very impressed with our stay overall as well as the host who was very helpful.
