Nice breakfast. Good location. Lots of activities on offer. Bunks not so sturdy - a lot of movement when someone rolls over. Good wifi. Laundry soap provided for decently priced washing facilities. Nice staff

AAE Bourbon House Hostel

New Orleans, USA

Nice large kitchen. Rooms tended to get quite stuffy and stinky with the lack of adequate ventilation. Although, it was nice being given a 4-bed dorm, when we had booked a 6-bed. Location is okay, with a 40 minute walk to the French quarter, or a bus ride (although the buses were very infrequent). Wifi was often very slow, hardly working. However, the computer provided at the hostel worked much faster. It was nice being provided with pancake batter. Staff were lovely.

When booking we didn't realise that we would actually be staying at the Days Inn. It's location is good for theme parks, with many complimentary shuttles. Being a hotel, there was no kitchen to cook your own food. But it was nice to have a pool. Breakfast was provided. And having a double bed each was really nice. Staff were helpful. But location is far from downtown - bus takes about an hour

Good hostel. A bit scary having bunks that are three beds high, although the private curtain and reading light are nice. Lockers provided below the beds. Complimentary breakfast and wifi are always good. Right near underground, making it easy to get to the city centre. Located near cheap supermarkets and cinemas. Staff were lovely and the place has a great feel to it. Like living in a mansion.

Clean hostel, good facilities, lovely staff, good location. Only thing that would have made it better is if more than churros were on offer for breakfast.

Nice place to stay. Good location. Rooms got a bit stuffy and smelly, which is not unusual in a hostel. Nice atmosphere. Having make-your-own crepes with breakfast was nice. Nice common area and outdoor area (when it wasn´t raining). Helpful staff. Plenty of tours that pick you up from the hostel.

Red Nest Hostel Valencia

Valencia, Spain
86%

I booked to stay at the red nest, but ended up at the purple nest, where breakfast was not provided complimentary. I had booked a 6-bed dorm and was put in a room with 8 beds, told that 2 of the beds would remain empty so it was really only a 6-bed room. On my last night, all beds were filled. Otherwise, the hostel is pretty good. Wifi everywhere, clean bathrooms, beds were fine. But there were a lot of kids around. Location is not bad as well

My third stay at the Clink - facilities have improved, such as adding baskets to the shower. Good location. Staff can be a bit hit or miss. Nice big kitchen, wifi not too expensive and good bar atmosphere.

Poor ventilation in the rooms and common area. Bathrooms and showers are shared facilities for men and women that are cleaned once a day and get dirty pretty fast. Location is great, right next to the tube with cheap supermarkets and pound stores next door. No kitchen facilities, but wifi was good.

Good value for money. Nice atmosphere. The staff are a bit hit and miss. They advertise lots of activities but it was really difficult to get the information about these activities from anyone. There is a lock out period from the central area during the afternoon. The area is really nice and the stay is cheap. Bathrooms are very small.

Ostello Tramonti

Nice little hostel near cinque terre. Closed until 2.30. Shuttle takes you to the first of the 5 villages in the morning and picks up after 8pm for about 2 euros per trip. Free wireless is available outside reception. Clean rooms. Breakfast is not so great, but better than nothing. Only one restaurant in town which fills up as soon as it opens on weekends. Rooms are clean

I really enjoyed my stay here. As a single female it was very easy to meet people. Giovanni takes his hostel very seriously. He makes sure that everyone has had some pasta before giving a detailed tutorial on what there is to do in Naples. There is a no drunks policy, so if you are just there to party this is probably not the hostel for you. Good facilities and very clean

I stayed in the secret garden, which is where the deluxe apartments are located. Good location right near Rome's largest gelateria. It is an easy walk to the colloseum. Breakfast is on the rooftop terrace, which is lovely. Dinner was provided on Friday and Saturday nights. Easier to meet people in the other building. Staff are lovely
