Location couldn't be better. The hostel is clean, decent, friendly and helpful. At times, the wifi wouldn't go all the way to the rooms, so we would need to awkwardly sit at the reception to look at emails, so there wasn't any privacy really when going online.
One of the receptionists, Ray, was so friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to organize a bus for us to go the Canyons, to get to LA and to find our way around. He even offered to drive us himself if there wouldn't be any other option. Better service than I have ever seen anywhere.
There's nothing like Sim's Cozy. There's a reason why it's rated one of China's top hostels!
watch out - SKETCHY AND SHADY. Don't be tricked by the good percentage rating of the hostel itself. Admittedly, yes: the hostel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and kind. BUT the hostel is part of a huge complex of guest houses that attract a lot of weird people. To enter the hostel, you need to go through a market where a lot of shady and sketchy people will come and offer you watches or something. we were two guys, but who knows what would happen with two girls...
