They let us borrow an umbrella, which was nice. It was windy and I broke it but they didn't mind.

Good hotel. Room was clean and even had a small balcony looking over the street. Very satisfied.

We booked to check in at 9pm as we'd come in on the early train but found out when we got there they wanted an extra 600 baht for a check-in before 2pm. They didn't make us aware of this on their advert within hostelworld.com. The rooftop pool was quiet and a nice place to relax. Place is near to a sky train station.

No problems at all and everything I would expect from a youth hostel. Everything was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The place itself was in between (and within walking distance to) Sunrise Beach and Sunset Beach so a good area of the island to stay if you're going for a moon party!

I rate this hostel very high on all the above criteria. What really set it apart though was the friendly and helpful staff who would pretty much bend over backwards to help you out. Even though they were constantly busy throughout the day, answering questions from foreigners who could only speak English (and some not even that), they never once got grouchy. Sam
