One of those massive hostels, so perhaps not great for meeting people if you are traveling on your own. Offered all sorts of tours and activities. Amazing showers! Staff were nice. If only spending a few days in BA and doing the tourist sites - perfect location!

Shame it isn't more central! Good place though, they are working to creating a nice hostel - they clearly care.

Hostal Los Salares

Tupiza, Bolivia

The location of this hostel is bad! If you read it is close to the station, it's a good 10-15 mins walk to the other side of town. tupiza is a small place, a 10 min walk, in the wrong direction is a big thing. No lockers in the room so anyone could have just walked in and taken my stuff. No atmosphere and the common areas are rather cold. And the breakfast is stingy!

The Adventure Brew Hostel

Might have had the most clueless staff, both locals and traveling staff, I have ever come across. They weren't rude or anything, but just very stupid. This was a complaint from everyone I talked to who stayed there. Other than that, I think this is a great place. Good breakfast, atmosphere, great beds (lockers underneath/personal light/plug socket). So the owner set up a great place, he just needs to hire better staff!

Owner Comment (Hide)
Hello, We are 15 minutes walking away from the historic center, 10 minutes from the bus station, half minute away from the biggest supermarket and the same from where all the buses going to not polluted beaches are. Are street is quite safe and quite. As a backpacker crossing the world Im pretty sure walk 15 minutes to get the historic center is not so far away. We are valued as the most safe, clean, VfM and best staff in town. Also cable tv at pvt rooms. I guess 15 minutes are worth enough, :)
