Nice hostel. Good facilities. The receptionists (except Alberto) seemed a bit confused and had trouble managing when there was a rush. Really good kitchen.
Hello, Thanks for writing us this review. We are working hard to make sure the staff is getting better every time.

I loved this hostel! Great pods for privacy and very chill. Great place to be before and after a volcano run. Staff are exceptionally helpful - they called to order food for us and brought us to the laundromat to ask for specific cleaning in Spanish. Highly recommend!

Great hostel! Really nice common area and exceptionally helpful staff. Only downside is it is located on the outskirts of town. Also it said quiet hours after 10pm but guests were playing guitar and singing in the common area until 2:30am.

This hostel is amazing! Seriously, don't hesitate at all to book it. The staff go above and beyond to be kind and helpful, and the facilities are beautiful and very clean. It is across the lake from Flores island but the boat takes maybe 2 minutes, is free, and runs all day - literally zero problems. I can't recommend this hostel enough.

The hostel owner Rosie was nice at first, but when we complained about the air conditioning she became very rude and told us we could just cancel our booking. Note: Even though air con costs extra, she only puts it on from 6pm-8am at 24 degrees, no lower. I wasn't impressed. The facilities are very very basic - cold, outdoor shower, only 2 toilets for the entire hostel, no lock on the dorm room door, and only a dresser drawer to lock things in. I would try another hostel.

Amazing hostel. Nicest staff I have encountered ANYWHERE. Truly can't say enough good things about the staff. Sothea especially. They found out it was my birthday and surprised me with a cake! So so so kind and helpful and accommodating. Great atmosphere as well - super fun and well led pub crawl by Jaffa! Best hostel ever, seriously you have to stay here. Nothing bad to say.

Great facilities - super nice pool area next door that you can use. Downside is the staff. The Vietnamese staff have limited English but are lovely and friendly. The western staff are not super helpful and pretty dismissive. They charged us for food we ordered and never received and refused to reverse the charges. Also very pushy with drinks. I would stay here again because it was so nice but would recommend the western staff chill out a bit and act more accommodating.

This hostel is pretty good but nothing amazing. Nice facilities in the lobby especially - with the pool and the lounge chairs. The receptionists are incredibly kind. Downside was we booked four beds and they didn't put us in the same room (what???) and they also email all guests saying to email them directly with complaints instead of writing them on hostel world - very sneaky and not honest. Would recommend it to others but would probably stay somewhere else again.
Thanks for your review. We do try to put guests together, however this is not always possible. We have a limited amount of beds and are fully booked everyday - usually guests understand this and have no problem with it. The email we send is not sneaky. We thank you for staying with us and ask if you have any suggestions of how we can improve to email us or fill in our online survey. When you write a review you are free to write whatever you want. Good luck on your future travels. Thanks Tom

This is the worst hostel I've ever stayed at. Spend your money on comparably priced places elsewhere. I'm used to bad hostels but this one is something else. Tiniest dorms I've ever seen with a mattress that feels like sleeping on the floor. Nazis about the air con, even when it's 40 degrees. Staff are incredibly rude - not one kind word was said to guests. The 3 cleaners come in at 9:45am and start lifting mattresses and talking even though everyone is still sleeping. Stay anywhere but here.

Great hostel. Would highly recommend - super clean, really nice facilities, and good atmosphere. Computers too! Free breakfast and snacks/tea and coffee all day too! Would definitely stay again. Only negatives are hard beds and the staff sent me in the wrong direction to get the sky train! Other than that it's a great hostel and I would highly recommend.

Common Grounds is the lesser of the evils in Pai. Compared to the other hostels, it's really quite good. Location couldn't be better and it has a really nice common area where everyone hangs out. Downsides - poor facilities (dirty floors, creaky and hard beds) but there is AC! The facilities just aren't great. Also the staff aside from James and Keira were entirely mediocre - not friendly, couldn't help with booking anything, really did the bare minimum required. Good for Pai, bad anywhere else.

Amazing facilities - super comfy beds and really nice dorms. Definitely not a party hostel - wish there was more of a common area and that the pool was open later. Aside from that, the staff were very pleasant and polite and super helpful - booked taxis and tours for us. Would definitely stay again.

This is hands down the best hostel I have ever stayed at! It is directly on the beach and has everything you'd ever need. Outdoors is a common area/bar/restaurant and a few padded huts that are great to spend the day in. The staff are amazing and Pop knows all of her guests by name and introduces everyone! If you are looking for somewhere chill and relaxed, this is the place! It's also relatively small which fosters a great atmosphere. I seriously can't recommend it enough - YOU MUST GO.

It is a great place to party. The animation staff (Laura, Seb, Clarence) are really fantastic and organize a ton of super fun events during the day and at night. HOWEVER, THERE ARE BED BUGS. The management of this hostel MUST address this problem. When I told the receptionist, she said "yea people told us there were bed bugs a week ago but cleaning staff didn't see anything". Are they blind?! Room 8 was absolutely INFESTED. Every single bed had them. The hostel must close and ELIMINATE BUGS

Based on the website, I thought it would be really amazing, but it was just okay. It's a lot more like a hotel and less like a hostel. There is no common room, so it's difficult to meet other travelers, and the "kitchen" is nothing more than a heating tray and fridge placed within the laundry room.

I absolutely LOVED Rainbow Hostel! Mattie and Carmel were fantastic hosts, and the hostel was very clean. Definitely not a party hostel (a lot of families and couples), but a great place to relax for a few days and enjoy Doolin. Also, go on Mattie's walking tour of the Burren if you can, it was great!

It was a nice enough hostel, but absolutely NO atmosphere whatsoever. Also, there is no "common room", just the kitchen and a strange room with 2 computers and tables and seats - kind of like a dining room, but no one actually speaks to each other. Not a good place to meet other backpackers.
