Perfect location for scouting out Dublin - I stayed here twice during my trip. Could be cleaner, but for the money it's solid.
This place is the best for a reason. Just do it.
The most amazing hostel I've stayed in all trip! Fantastic beds, great staff, solid showers. Located near the metro and train station. Just. Yes. All of it. Awesome.
Great location and awesome staff! Got a bit hard to move around in the 8 bed dorm, but that's expected.
Beautiful hostel with knowledgeable staff in an excellent location. There isn't much of an atmosphere, but Marseille's Vieux Port is right outside the door.
Super close to all the sights, great showers
Perfect place to spend the night when you're looking to be a beach bum. Staff are fantastic! They helped with everything from excursions to arranging a late night taxi when I was leaving. Completely amazing folks.
My second time staying at the backpackers. The suites are great! Large, spacious, and sunny with a/c and a small kitchenette with a balcony. If travelling by metro, it's better to go the extra stop to Acropoli than trying to walk from Syntagma.
Just stayed for one night, had some drinks with people in the garden. Lady at the desk was really helpful
Fantastic place! Location is perfect - overlooking a beautiful square and near a metro. Staff was incredible! If you go to one of the baths, I would recommend booking with them (cheaper and easier to speak with someone who deals with lost tourists on a regular basis). I stayed in the women's dorm which was super spacious and clean. Each bed had an outlet and a light, and the two sets of doors blocked out any noise from the hall. These guys thought of everything.
Great location, lovely room!
The hostel itself is fine and the girls at the desk are very sweet and try to help as much as they can! I rated it poor for security because the street that hostel is on is not lit at night at all and feels sort of sketch coming back late (but it's super close to the main square so there's that). Once you're inside the complex, no one bothers to lock the building or the dorm room, even though guests are given keys. Also, don't always count on a hot shower in the morning.
Really enjoyed my stay in Riga! Staff were great, so was location. It really just felt like staying at a friend's house rather than a hostel. Just know your actual dorm room doesn't lock, but lockers are free and someone is always in the common room.
St. Christopher's hostels are consistently lively and well-kept. The English speaking staff are great and have tons of recommendations for places to go (and how to not get turned away at the door) as well as day trips, etc. They're really great! Only downside is there isn't a kitchen or anywhere to keep any bought food cold.
The hostel is a bit of a walk from the nearest metro, so if that's how you're arriving it may be a bit difficult to find. Rooms and bathrooms were bright and clean.
First - BEST SHOWERS EVER. Family-friendly. Fantastic staff. Only weird thing is that my dorm room seemed like it was meant for families; there were several bunk beds and 2 twin beds very close together (could be a double bed) so if you get one of those, you may end up sleeping quite close to someone you don't know.
The Dictionary is on a pretty busy street so if you're looking for quiet, it's not here. BUT if you're looking for a great staff in an up and coming part of London, this place is great. Lots of pubs around the area and the nearest metro is about a 10 minute walk away.
Might be one of the best hostels I've stayed in - great bar, great rooms, great staff. Showers get a bit crowded as there are only 3 per floor with one sink (talk about girly bonding while 3 of you share a sink to brush your teeth) but other than that it was fine.
Location is central and great for looking around Dublin. The shower situation is sort of weird - the ones in the women's shower room were absolutely scalding, but the individual hall ones were fine.
