Superb location, spotless facilities and super friendly staff. This hostel should be a role model for all the other hostels out there. I'll be back!

Meininger may be a good hotel, but not a good hostel. It's nice that you get a decent hotel room there, but I had a quasi double bed (two beds with 10 cm in between) which I shared with a stranger. Also, the hostel is badly ventilated, you can't open the windows. Your ventilation system may work for two people, but not for a (same size) room of four, where one is obviously sick. Please have management spend two nights in a full dorm if you don't believe me. I left after one night, and this is the last this
Dear Markus, Thank you for sharing your feedback, we are disappointed to see that we did meet your expectations. As for our dormitories all the beds can be separated besides the bunk beds, the idea of the dormitories is that you share your room with a stranger, of course we always invite you to book the bed with a friend. All of our rooms are ventilated and the temperature is set accordingly to the temperature outside, although if the guest need an extra ventilation we will be more then happy to help you at reception and open the window for you. Thank you.

What is it with Meiningers and cramming a bunk bed in a double room (4 bed dorm). Zero privacy. Staff was friendly though.
Dear guest, Thank you for your review. We are sorry about the privacy situation, you could next time book a private Room for more privacy :) Hope to see soon. Best regards Meininger Hotel Bremen

Very weird room layout. It's like they crammed a bunk bed in a double room (dorm for 4), so no privacy if you are in the twin bed. Convenient location if you're traveling by train.
1. Hi, thank you for your stay in Generator Hostel Hamburg. We appreciate that you enjoyed your stay. See you next time. With kind regards Sarah Challie Front Office

Perfectly located hostel with nice staff, a fully equipped kitchen and a nice rooftop to enjoy the sun - even in winter. The hostel organizes events like a food tour (recommended!) and beach volleyball, which greatly helps to meet new people. Some reviewers complained that it's cold, but I just asked the staff and they turned on the heating in the room. It might get loud at night and in the morning (party people in the hostel and a construction site nextdoor), so be sure to bring earplugs.

Stayed just for a night, and I couldn't have picked a better place. The beds are super comfortable and you are guaranteed your privacy because of the clever design of the bed, curtains for the lower bunk, and a curtain in the room behind which you can hide for changing. There are power outlets and lights next to each bed, Toilet and bathroom are separate, which is another huge plus. The location is very convenient (right next to Westbahnhof and Mariahilferstraße), and the staff super friendly.
Hey there and thanks for your detailed feedback! :) It's so good to hear that you enjoyed staying with us, glady again at anytime! Stay safe and kind regards, JO&JOE Team

I stayed only for a night, but wow, the (private) room was awesome! Also the rooftop was very nice, as was the location. I hope to come back here again.

The staff are super helpful and friendly, the rooms and facilities are clean and there are lockers (key provided) for each bed. The hostel is close by the lake. It's a 30 min walk from the Jezero station, or a 10 min bus ride from the Lesce station. I am glad I stayed at this hostel and will return.

Nice place to spend a night or two, but there's definitely not enough showers/toilets! Breakfast had hazelnut spread. Yum!

One of the best places we've stayed in. The host is very friendly and welcoming. Facilities were very clean, and the views from the hostel amazing. It's only a short stroll down to the wharf. There is complimentary breakfast, tea and coffee.

Clean rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Staff was friendly. The only pain point was that free internet was limited and often too slow to be used. Free coffee and tea at all times!
Hi Thanks for the feedback. We are patiently waiting for the Wanaka Internet Fibre Upgrade to bring our internet up to a high standard. All guests should be able to access 25MB/sec connection but we know at times this is effected by the poor bandwidth Wanaka has in general. We are working on it! Regards

The room, bathroom and kitchen (moths) were dirty/disgusting. I don't understand why guests keep the kitchen clean in some hostels, but not in others. Staff was friendly though, and we liked the fact that the dorm had a basic kitchen.

Cool views, nice staff. Bathrooms were clean, but cleanliness of the kitchen needs to be improved (moths). We liked the views, the free breakfast and the basic kitchen facilities in the dorm.

Awesome and clean hostel! We loved pudding and the hot tub! Apart from the last night (we shared the room with a guy who got massively drunk) we felt safe, and do recommend staying there.

Huge hostel, so it comes as no surprise that it's not as social and personal as many others. Free internet is only available in the lounge. Street parking is expensive. Hostel is in an interesting old building. Bathrooms were clean.

We felt very welcome in this amazing hostel. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, the hostel is clean, there's nice views, a garden, and a very social atmosphere. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Tairua.

Hostel and staff were really nice, also the neighborhood has lots of opportunities for eating and shopping. We especially liked the garden. Bathrooms were really tiny though, they were hardly large enough to drown a mouse.

Nicely decorated hostel with rooftop restaurant (slow service but delicious) from where there is an amazing view of the Fort. The staff was very helpful with booking train tickets. The hostel is not far from the main bazaar (5 mins walking) and the Fort (10 mins walking) as well as restaurants and an ATM. The only negative aspect was that the room (4 bed dorm) was windowless and could not be locked from the outside.

Room and bathroom were clean. At some point it was raining so heavily that water was coming into the room but the staff was very supportive and immediately took care of it. The food was awesome too!

Overall nice hostel with friendly staff. The roof terrace (with a bar!) has an amazing view of the Cathedral. The huge common room is used for breakfast and is also a nice place to plan your day or chat with fellow travellers.

The hostel is centrally located in Cádiz, has an awesome rooftop terrace with hammocks and very friendly staff. Breakfast with pancakes is included, guests gather around a rather small table to eat, which makes socializing easy. The bathrooms were clean and though not numerous they were usually available. It is a max 10 minute walk to the nearest beach, and probably 15mins to La Caleta Beach. If I ever return to Cádiz, I will definitely stay at this hostel again!

I loved staying at Lights Out. Hostel is clean, enough showers, friendly staff. The roof terrace is ideal for meeting fellow travellers over a glass of Sangria. I will return.

Frankly, we were very disappointed by this place. Very few bathrooms and showers (esp. female), no rubbish bins in rooms, beds were stained (blood!) and the common area, though large, was not inviting. Kitchen only accessible at certain hrs. Doors of dorms, when handled incorrectly, did not lock (you have to lock them from the inside). Great location close to Powell St Bart. Lots of homeless people in the immediate vicinity (but that's just a part of what SF is) might be bothersome.

Convenient location close to the highway as well as the Metro. Rooms were clean and had bathroom, kitchen and refrigerator. A couple times a week the hostel offers cheap dinner (usually some pasta) in the evening which was awesome. Parking is limited, and it is a bit annoying that you have to hand the car keys to the staff (although you can get them 24/7 if you need to leave/access your car).

Nice and quiet location at the top of the cliffs right at the Pacific coast. A kitchen is there so you can prepare your own food (restaurants are a few miles away). Unfortunately the hot tub was broken at the time of our visit (mid June) which was quite disappointing. Apart from that the hostel is a nice stop on your way up or down the coast.

Hostel was clean, had nice facilities (WiFi, ATM, laundromat,...) and atmosphere, a cool café and friendly staff. Location is also great at Fishermen's Wharf, although coming from the airport requires you to walk quite a bit with your suitcase. We do recommend this place.

Hostel is conveniently located close to Westbahnhof and Mariahilferstraße. Staff is friendly and rooms are spacious (had a dorm for 8 people), bring (or rent) a lock to use the lockers. WiFi was slow and unstable but free.

Apart from the mice that live in the room and go through your luggage (even though I didn't bring food) the stay was pleasant: staff was friendly, location great (right behind the British Museum) and the hostel and rooms properly secured (key card access).

The hostel is a short walk from Amsterdam Centraal and not far from the city center either. We really felt at home at this place, the owners were very nice and forthcoming. Rooms and bathrooms are tiny, but that has to be expected on a boat. We do recommend staying here.

TL;DR: Book this for a secure stay at a central location with nice staff. Clean rooms and facilities, friendly staff, secure (key cards for rooms and lockers) and a cool bar. Less cool were the extremely ruthless fellow lodgers that were in town for a football game, which was the only negative aspect to my stay. (So better book a private room when there's an important match in town.)

Clean rooms and facilities, great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Smoking is allowed in the bar, so your clothes will stink the next day.
hi there. smoking is generaly allowed in austrian bars. once we tried to ban it but within weeks we had massive problems with our neighbours because of that. all good, yoho salzburg

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hostel itself is an amazingly beautiful house in Valetta, with nice places to eat right around the corner. The roof terrace with harbour view is open for guests. There's no self-service at breakfast. Unfortunately wifi was not available (temporarily, as they said) and the toilet did not flush properly. We would recommend booking this hostel.

The hostel is just a 5 minute walk from Pimlico and 20 minutes from Big Ben. The bathrooms were very clean most of the times, and although the hostel was pretty full, I always found a vacant shower or toilet when I needed one. Breakfast is provided, so are hairdryers and lockers. Staff is helpful and friendly, rooms are locked with key cards and therefore pretty secure. If you're on a budget this is for you.

The hostel is conveniently located right across the street from Westbahnhof and therefore has a good connection to all of Vienna and Austria. Staff is very friendly and the bar is a cool way to socialize with other guests! Doors and lockers are secured with key cards. I would definitely recommend this place.

Conveniently located next to Westbahnhof, high security (the floors and rooms can only be entered with a key card, and lockers are also locked with this card) and (mostly) friendly staff. There is a bar which is great to socialise. A free (very small) drink is included with the stay. Will book this hostel again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms and bathrooms clean. Towels can be borrowed for free. Everyone who checks in gets a free drink (a pretty small drink, though) at the hostel bar. The price is more than okay. The hostel is conveniently located if you want to travel by train, because it's right next to Westbahnhof Station, which is also directly connected with Wien Meidling Station by underground.

Although the hostel was pretty full, showers and toilets were very clean, but you had to be lucky to find a vacant shower in the morning. Staff was great and helpful. I consider the rooms were secure, because you had to use a key card to enter (as opposed to unsafe door codes in other hostels).

Staff was very nice and helpful. The house was full but showers and toilets were clean nevertheless. The room was clean too - I am allergic and usually find it hard to sleep in rooms with carpet floors, but at the Bunkhouse it was no problem. The house is a 5 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the city center. Definitely would stay again.
