Stayed in a basement room with no windows, wouldn't have been able to stand it for more than one night. Paid extra for a private, expecting at least a mirror pinned to the wall or maybe a shelf, but walked into what looked less desirable than a jail cell. Advertises free wifi but is available only in the bar off the side of the hostel, and can't be used past 11pm or before 7am. You get what you pay for, I would suggest spending $20 extra to go somewhere that will make you feel human.

Amazing location, so close to the waterfront and La Ramblas! Was tricky to find as there aren't many signs directing you to the floor, which is tucked away amongst private residences. Stayed in a private room and enjoyed it very much. Would stay again!

St. Clair Hotel and Hostel

Was surprised to see that there was not 24/7 front desk staff considering the hostel's location. For the price, this is a reasonable place to stay, but I would suggest only in desperate measures. Other hostel guests were running through the hallway yelling/laughing/running loudly between 3-4:00AM to the point that other guests were forced to take action into their own hands.. A clean place and cute TV room but the street noise/sirens/screaming on the street below was unbearable.
