Cheap place to stay close to the main square. Staff are friendly. Free tea any time and free breakfast. Lockers = storage room. Be warned there are biting bugs present at this hostel, my guess is bed bugs. I know of at least 5 guests who've come away with bites.

This is one of the best hostel´s I´ve stayed in on my RTW trip. All day breakfast, free sangria leading to a pub crawl (the alternate between this hostel and another hostel which you can join in with if you wish. The staff are amazingly friendly and go out of their way to help. Lockers big enough for a laptop. About 10 min walk to the Gothic Centre/Las Ramblas and in a quiet area. 20 min walk to the beach.

Big hostel but a nice feel to it. I love the Winter Garden with bean bags and hammocks which is in a glass roofed central courtyard. You get a free drink voucher with check in which is nice. Breakfast is 3.90 extra. Lockers in the rooms large enough to fit your backpack. 2 lifts to take you up the stairs though staying in the 10 person dorm there was an extra flight not covered by the lift. Location is excellent short walk to bus/train as well as centre of the city.

Really cool hostel. In a nice quiet part of old town but walking distance to everything. The taxi's line up out the front which tells you how central it is (though I never heard any noise from them). Friendly guy who runs the place. Lockers big enough for bags in the rooms. Keys for all the doors. There were a few other travellers around to talk to. Had a pleasant stay.

This hostel created a great atmosphere by providing a free dinner. It brings everyone together (if you get there early enough to get a seat) and means you'll have drinking companions. I really like the set up of the common area downstairs. Breakfast is extra. Within walking distance of the centre (5 min). 20 min walk to Christiania and 30 to the Little Mermaid. No lockers in the rooms. Bag storage is open so anyone who know's its there can just walk in.

West Two London

It's a fairly standard low end London hostel. Atmosphere isn't much because like other cheap London hostel's it's filled with people living there. Staff had music blaring until 3am in reception next to my room. I honestly thought there was a party going on in the building next door. They only turned it off when I got fed up, went to the loo and figured out it was reception. I was wearing earplugs!

Excellent hostel in the heart of Edinburgh old town. I stayed during the Fringe Festival on the street side and it was quiet. Good kitchen with four full friges. Staff are friendly and chatty though they can out number the guests in the common room at times. Female and male toilets alternate floors so don't be afraid of stairs! Lots of stairs, both in the hostel and in the city.
