Excellent hostel right in the middle of the historic centre of Nanjing - lots of shops, sights and places to eat. The directions from the metro are also spot-on and very easy to follow.
Difficult to get to via public transport. Staff don't speak English and the bathroom is inside the room in see-through glass walls. A bit weird . . . The cleaner also barged in while I was in the bathroom (before check-out time), and told me to leave so she could clean.
Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. but the room I was in was really damp and moldy in places.
Beautiful spacious hostel in an amazing location. Staff are also very helpful and will organise local day trips and transport for you.
Great friendly and helpful staff. Good location that's easy to get to from public transport as well.
A hostel in China with an actual kitchen - OMG! The staff are also great - very helpful and you can tell they all love working there. It makes for an excellent atmosphere.
Great for meeting people and great communal spaces. The wi-fi is terrible though and only works in the lobby area, and then the signal is so weak that even then it only works sometimes.
Staff were abrupt and unfriendly. Hostel claimed to have free wi-fi, but this was only available in the bar, and the barman would only turn it on when the bar was busy. There are better and cheaper places available in Beijing.
A great social backpackers, good for meeting fellow travellers.
Very cool hostel with a good atmosphere for meeting people. It's a shame the dumpling party was cancelled. The hostel has minimum numbers for this and the other parties they organise, but we weren't told about this when we enquired about it.
Cool staff and in a good location. Needs a kitchen and more bathrooms though.
Dennis (the owner) is awesome and should have been in a rock band, but it's good for travellers to Ulan Ude that he decided to open up a guesthouse instead. Great location and good place to meet other travellers too.
Dennis is an awesome host and his hostel is safe and secure in a great easy-to-find central location.
Really flexible and relaxed host. Great easy-to-find location too.
Great helpful staff and central location. Onky one bathroom though as it's in a converted apartment.
Vladimir is a fantastic host and owner. He was very helpful with suggestions on what to do and organised a customised tour for myself and a couple of other guests in the hostel. As for the hosyel itself, it's in a good location, but was beinf renovated when I stayed so things were in weird (but temporary), locations.
Stsff were very friendly and helpful, especially with early check-in and printing documents for me. The hostelis actually one floor in a hotel though, so although the rooms are very clean and everything is very new, it doesn't have the same communal atmosphere that hostels usually have.
Great modern, clean hostel in a fantastic central location. Kitchen is a bit lacking though. It only has a microwave for cooking.
Owner was very friendly but doesn't any English so couldn't help out with directions. Hostel also doesn't have any cooking facilities, only s microwave.
Reslly friendly and helpful staff, but could be cleaner.
Anton and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating in assisting me in booking train tickets and providing directions. The dorms are a bit cramped and there are no locks on the doors, but overall a good hostel in a great location.
Best hostel I've stayed in! Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the hostel has a great vibe about it. It's also a grest place for solo travellers to meet other like-minded people.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Veronica, Cassy and Jessica really went out of their way to be welcoming and provide advice on what to do in Penang.
This is the best hostel I have stayed in, in any country! Great location, facilities and staff. Will definitely stay here again.
Great location and spacious, clean rooms.

Great hostel with really friendly and helpful staff. This creates a good atmosphere for young travellers to meet.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Needs another shower though! It only has one, and although this wasn't a problem when I stayed (in terms of waiting), it is incredibly old, run-down and dirty. For the number of beds this hostel has, it definately needs multiple shower rooms/bathrooms.
Like all the hostels in the K's House chain, this one doesn't disappoint. The living area is spacious and is great for mingling and meeting other travellers. The size of the shower rooms in this hostel are also larger than the others I have used at similar hostels in Japan.
Great atmosphere and mixing place for younger, solo travellers. The common room is always busy and full of like-minded travellers who want to socialise. The language exchanges with Japanese university students is also a good way to meet new people and brush up on Japanese words and phrases.

Staff were very friendly and helpful with directions and ideas about what to do. The hostel also managed to create a good atmosphere for travellers to mingle and get to know each other.
Great, new, clean hostel. It can be a bit hard to find from the station as it's Ina newer part of town that's still being built. Lio (owner/manger) is very friendly and helpful and I received an upgrade to a private room when I stayed here last time!
Fantastic, extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Great owner and staff and fantastic community atmosphere which is fantastic for single travellers. The location is also excellent and dorm rooms are spacious, however bathrooms are rather dirty and cramped.
Staff were friendly and helpful and washing, breakfast and internet were all provided. However, the hostel itself was small and dirty - especially the bathrooms. Okay for a couple of nights though.
