Suneta Hostel Khaosan

Good, central hostel, 3 roads down from Khao San Road - so ideal for backpackers. Small lockers in each room v helpful, and free towels - always good. Helpful reception staff booked us a taxi to the airport, and allowed us to chill in the lobby on the computers despite being 4 hours early for check-in due to the sleeper train! Clean, comfortable and central - just a little expensive

Lovely hostel! Living rooms complete with kitchens inbetween two dorms gave the perfect chill out space to meet people - resulted in our group of 2 turning into a group of 10 for dinner one night! Easy walk from Big Buddha Pier/the beach (10 mins) then 20 min taxi to Chaweng beach - so really good location-wise. Also THE nicest staff ever - organised taxis, gave us late breakfast (after 11am) and let me use their mobile to call my ferry company when I was confused - so so lovely and helpful!

Dancing Elephant N1 Party Hostel

Loved this hostel! David the manager was so fun and helpful from the minute we arrived to the minute we checked out. We came to Haad Rin for the half moon festival, and as a testament to how fun the hostel's outside bar is, we met people from other hostels who had come to drink at ours instead of theirs! The bedroom was clean, and with the adjacent mattress layout, you quickly meet everyone. Downstairs chill out area plays movies all day - just what you need to wind down after partying!

Really good hostel, great location and easy to find as only two roads away from Khao San Road. Beds clean, and large lockers in each room. Good atmosphere in the lobby/meeting area - big mattresses on the floor for people to chill out and meet other people - really recommend for the single traveller.

St Christopher's at The Winston

I loved this hostel! They were so kind and helpful from the minute we arrived to the minute we checked out. My friend and I had never been to Amsterdam before, and so the staff at reception were kind enough to point out (on free maps) were to go for nights out, museums, which trams to catch etc. Really enjoyed our time here - our room was clean, spacious for two people, en suite was perfect, hostel's location was AMAZING - 30 seconds from Dam Square, what more could you want! No faults at all!
