Cape Byron YHA

Byron Bay, Australia

Free wifi was ridiculous slow. Blanket covers are not be changed and staff threw pillow and blanket on dirty carpet floor while making up beds. Free lighthouse tour was nice.

The Friendly Hostel

Hervey Bay, Australia

Not much to do in Hervey Bay but good to start your Fraser Island tour. The hostel is not the most friendly one I've ever stayed in but probably the best in Australia so far. It's more like a homestay. Wifi is free (could be faster) as well as bicycles. Be careful the bikes are not safe!!! Laundry is free if you book a tour with them. Bathrooms and rooms are clean. Kitchen could have more equipment but all in all a good choice.

Rockhampton Backpackers YHA

Rockhampton, Australia

Hostel is better than I expected. Good TV room with nice sofa. Pick up and drop off service to greyhound bus terminal. Free wifi. Staff drove us to rodeo show (only Wednesday

Backpackers by the Bay

Airlie Beach, Australia

Close to greyhound terminal, 10 min walk to city centre. Only 1 hour free wifi when you check in. :( Luggage storage not free of charge. Facilities are old and not very clean. No pillow cover. We moved to another accomodation.

Civic Guest House Backpackers Hostel

Townsville, Australia

Stayed definitely in better hostels but for a stopover in Townsville it's okay.

The Dictionary, Shoreditch

London, England

- a bit far from a tube station - breakfast very simple and not lovely at all (Beagles and jam, yogurt, coffee) - no water in the morning (later only cold water to take a shower) - shower and toilets are not clean - poor wifi only at reception (no wifi in the upper floors!) - check-out 10am is very early

Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Bed was used and I had to change sheet and stuff by myself. Only one elevator means long waiting times.
