It's a hotel, not a hostel so very clean. We booked a from but they upgraded us to a private room with en suite as they were fully booked when we arrived. Nice balcony to sit out and read on. Great location, literally 1 min walk from night markets and bus station. If a solo traveller maybe not best place for meeting people though.

No breakfast but the unlimited free teas and toast is way better!!! Staff are really friendly and great help at booking trips. The rooms are clean and air con works well. Really enjoyed my stay here. Wifi works well in the dorms too. It's not a party hostel but has a nice chilled atmosphere. It's about a 10/15 min walk from centre of town but this never bothered us.

great location, really helpful staff, nice and clean. If we stayed at Ilha Grande again, we´d stay here. You can fill up your water bottles for the day and it has 2 kitchens so never feels too busy or cramped. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Clean showers and bathrooms. Most importantly... excellent AC!! We loved it!

Really nice hostel. Great helpful staff. Rooms were really clean. The main drawback is that it doesnt have AC, just a fan which is not enough in summer in Brasil. Otherwise it has a nice chilled out atmosphere. Its a bit further away from town and the beaches - fine if you dont mind walking for about 15 mins but if not then maybe consider somewhere closer.

This hostel ticks all the boxes and the staff are very helpful. Although its not really clean, it's fine for a hostel. The main problem is the air conditioning which hardly works in the dorms which is crazy in summer and the rooms feel quite cramped. Awesome breakfast, location and a nice pool and terrace to sit on too. Probably better for friends than couples as its a really social hostal especially at the weekend.

well....the rooms are cramped only if the people inside leave their staff out of the lockers with are big enought and serve like benches. Is my design and I´m sure that is not cramped; I can´t pay the bill for disordered costumers The aircom works perfectly, at night, or at request (we don´t use with no people inside the room) We will try to improve cleaning :( Thanks for the rest of your opinion

If you're going to rio stay here! It's so clean, the staff are really security conscious so the doors are always manned and it's just an awesome hostel. The staff are so so friendly and full of good advice. Right next to a metro and a supermarket too. We loved breakfast and our stay here. We felt so welcome. Thank you

unfortunately no lockers in the rooms and room and hostel doors were left open. Located near the bus terminal and on the main street. The rooms were clean and air con was great. The breakfast was amazing, yummy cakes and fresh fruit! The main problem was with the staff - they booked us on tours and got a permit with our names on it before even asking if we wanted to go or having checked about prices. Really cheeky! They did sort everything out and the tour ended up being great but we felt forced.

Great hostel. So convenient when coming from the bus station. Had a nice pool, football table, deck chairs. Was perfect place to chill out. Great hostel! Only problem was there was no air con and only one small fan which didn't work (room 19) so it was boiling. Otherwise we loved our stay here.

No air con so it was boiling! Rooms look a lot nicer on photos than in real life. The 8 bed dorm felt quite cramped. Staff were nice and location was quite central. Think you could fine somewhere nicer for the price as its fine but nothing amazing.

Great hostel. Relatively clean. No plus sockets in rooms so have to leave valuables charging in the corridor. Staff were really nice and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay here - thanks! Kitchen is clean and big and there is a big sitting room where you can eat.

Casa Lili

Puerto Natales, Chile

The hostel owners collection of friends made for an excellent atmosphere of aggressive indifference, that, coupled with his penchant for playing it cool to the point of insanity, means that we will never again be returning to the casa of all things unhelpful and un inviting. Unsafe cookers, heating, stairs and locks. Just all round fun. Oh and dirty, just for good measure, simply do not go here.. Ever. Also why does everyone that stays here look like they want to punch you when you say hi? Weird

Hospedaje Costanera

Punta Arenas, Chile

The hostel owner was very brash with her staff but nice to her guests which made for an odd atmosphere, her son however, was rude and overly hostile. It is very far from any amenities and the location felt unsafe and in need of regeneration. Breakfast was sadly disappointing and the hostel tours appeared expensive. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome here and left early. There were strange signs that said the kitchen was for heating but no cooking, all in all not what was advertised.

it´s in the centre of town and a great location. The rooms were nice, airy and clean. The kitchen was quite small and I much prefered the other secondary hostel run by the same people in town, called Maragouya 2. Stay there if you can. If not this hostel is great for a night or two.

Great hostel. We loved it here!!! The rooms were really nice - me and my boyfriend stayed in a double. The staff were always really helpful and friendly. It had a really nice atmosphere in the communal kitchen. Tea and coffee is always available and it´s great to book activities and hire bikes etc. Even has a huge free movie collection for rainy days.

Rigolemo Guesthouse

Hostel has a really nice feel and the owner and her family are lovely. It is in a great location and is cheap compared to other hostels in Pucon. The main drawback is that it´s a bit chaotic, stuff is unorganised and a bit dirty. The rooms are clean though. It really does feel like a lived in family house and you will be welcomed! We´d stay there again if we were visiting Pucon.

Thanks that you take your time to comment us. It was a pleasure to have you staying here in our hostel. As you know the kitchen is a shared room too. We clean the kitchen two times every day. We ´re sorry about it if you felt that is unorganised. But no excuses. We gonna work on that.

Savigliano International Hostel

not in the nicest area - right next to the bus station though if it{s a quick overnight stay it might be ok. Kitchen is good, and large. rooms were basic but clean. The best thing is the price if you{re on a tight budget. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ignore the picture of the pool by the way - have no idea how they shot it at such a good angle but it is genuinely the size of a bath tub.

Not that clean. Quite a big rambling hostal which is quiet. Mainly long term stayers. In need of a freshen up. No breakfast and nearly didn't let us leave our bags there. In a good location - 8 blocks from bus terminal

No breakfast but the kitchen facilities are great. The dorm room of 8 is really cramped and small. If you stay in the 4 bed dorm, it's not that much more in price but so so much nicer! It's close to the centre of sucre and opposite a really nice park. I enjoyed my stay here.

A new hostel which is cosy, clean and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Great value for money in the dorms and only 5 mins from the main plaza in cusco. It's a nice quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and is not a loud party hostel. Breakfast is included and you can make tea during the day or hot water for noodles/soup if you want it!!!! We loved our stay here and the super friendly hostel owner made it! Would love to come back and stay here :)

Really good value for money compared to the other hostels in huacachina. The restaurant is awesome and the food is lovely, definitely eat there!!! We did a wine tasting tour and a sand bugging tour booking them through the hostel and they we both great, especially the latter. Rooms and bathroom clean and good computer/Internet access. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to stay there!

We were two female travellers both 22 and felt very safe in this hostel. It is a Little away from the hustle and bustle of quito which was nice. The hostel owner, Isaac, gave us lots of advice about day trips and was always friendly and helpful. We ended up with a room with 2 doublé beds despite only having paid for singles. It was v clean and for $5 a night we cannot complain! The only thing to be advised about is not to order the airport pickup, we were left waiting when noboy turned up.
