I actually like the location very much -- if you take a short cut by crossing a National Trust field, where the stunning view of the whole Bath valley is in front of you, and then cutting through the canal, you end up arriving at the Parade Bridge in less than 10 minutes, and it is the best thing to start in the morning. The way going back is hilly, but then you can always catch a U1 or U18 which is very frequent and stops right in front of the hostel. Not much to complain.

I booked 3 nights at Hostelworld.com but when I arrived I realised that if I book through the hostel's own website I could get the last night for 9.9 euro. I thought it would be much nicer if they treat all guests equally regardless of how they book the place.
Dear guess, thanks for your visit and nice review and we wish you have a nice stay among us!! Concerning the last nigth at 9.9€ , this a winter promotion started on november!! hope you enjoyed your time in Paris and hope to welcome you back soon in VIntage Hostel Lida Manager

I feel that I could go back to Lagos just for Taghostel - the cosy atmosphere, artistic decorations, warm hostess, the sea-view terrace, a real bed of your own in a dorm, what else you could expect from a hostel?! This is more than a hostel! I will definitely come back here if I visit Lagos again.

Location is perfect, very close to the river back and all the main attractions. The view from the terrace is unbeatable! Staff are very friendly and helpful. The 6-female dorm is spacious. The only downside is the female bathroom. The shower room is too small and there is no place to hang clothes and tower. In fact you can only undress and dress outside the shower room but then the door to the female bathroom has no lock...

As everyone says, this hostel is a modern and even luxurious one, renovated from a historical relics with modern and brand new facilities, so it's great value for money. Location is perfect, if you don't mind exercise a bit on the stairs everyday, but then you've got the view of the Cathedral. The only small issue is a bit lack of atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful, though more in a way of running business, but I wouldn't mind that much given all the benefits of this place.

I've stayed in three hostels in Lisbon. This is a very cool and homey place. Staff (especially Ana) are very friendly and helpful. It is not a party house but people are friendly and very easy to chat with. I met some very interesting people. The location is perfect, almost the center to everywhere. So close to the big food court! All in all, I think this is the best place I've stayed in Lisbon. I would definitely recommend it.

It's got a precise name: the hostel is located in Alfama and it's got a patio looking out the old quarter and the river. The leafy courtyard and the patio on the second floor is really a big plus. If you like Alfama, then this is probably the best hostel to stay!
