Pousada Chill Out - Lencois

Chapada Diamantina, Brazil

My issue isnt so much that the hostel was removed so far the town (which, beware, it is), but more so that the Hostel doesnt have the facilities to account for this distance. No guest fridge or kitchen, no major common areas, and the hostel compound itself doesnt quite offer the "chilled out" atmosphere it advertises, particularly for a town like Lencois. However, the staff more than compensated for these faults in being one of the friendliest hostel teams I've ever stayed with. Big ups to Cesar

Broadway Hotel n Hostel

New York, USA

Its great that this hostel is clean and pretty, but im pretty sure thats not what people think when they hear $70 bucks a night. Staff is very nice, but the fact that its both a hotel and a hostel, and that the hostel is several floors up from the common room, leave it feeling quite cold and detached, so dont expect any feeling of 'community' during the course of your stay. Also, hey, no breakfast.
