Nice Hostel, in a good location despite what people are saying, it's 33 mins away from Oxford Circus by DLR. The bar however closes at 11pm and after that the place seemed pretty quiet, not the most sociable of environments but I only stayed one night so perhaps I was just unlucky. You get the key codes for the doors rather than a key/fob which can be annoying as you have to remember them/keep the slip of paper you get at check-in. Otherwise beds are good, clean hostel and good priced for London

Plum Flowers House

Convenient hostel located near a metro station and within easy reach of the airport. Guesthouse owner speaks excellent English (a rarity in China!) and is always eager to help. In summary a pretty chilled hostel where you can meet other like minded travellers.

Koh Tao Backpackers Hostel

I've been to Koh Tao quite a few times but never stayed in the Backpackers Hostel, preferring to stay in many of the beach front bungalows. However after 2 weeks in The Rock in Phi Phi (a digny but epic party hostel) I craved air conditioning more than a Chang so decided to stay at the backpackers. The place is top notch, great location, great staff, decent bathroom facilities and even a pool. The only downside is the lack of common area so it's difficult to meet people from other dorms.
