The room and bathroom were clean and the staff engaged to organise a heater for our really cold room in the basement. The loud music in the community living room already in the morning was quite bothering, the kitchen is well equipped.

Flanagan's Village Hostel

Was a good stay as the hostel is clean, the rooms comfortable and the atmosphere familiar. The Wifi is unfortunately only working in the kitchen but so you can meet up with the other guests and the staff what was in our case a great experience. The front door is locked with a code, but the romms aren't locked at all what is in my opinion not secure enough.

The hostel is very clean and comfortable, the kitchen well equipped. It's just a bit loud as the house is clairaudient.

You can start your hike just outside the hostel, it's well located for that kind of activities but not for anything else as it's right in the nationalpark. Unfortunately the Wifi is not free and the time for surfing at the two computers is quite expensive in my opinion. Anyway there a comfortable couches and a living room where you can watch DVDs on rainy evenings.

I've stayed at HI Mid Bangkok two times for about 4 days and was absolutely happy with it. The location is brandnew and super clean, there's a lift, breakfast included and the hostel is very central next to the BTS, malls and markets. The staff additionally is friendly and helpful - definitely recommendable.
