Hotel is in a lovely building, good location, nice atmosphere, owner is very friendly. Nice (but simple) breakfast included. The hotel is fairly basic (no heating in rooms or rugs so very very cold during the day and at night. Not terrible value for the money considering Sapa is quite touristy, but have definitely found better value for money elsewhere in Vietnam. Put a heater in each room & this place would be excellent. Tours were on the pricey side so definitely negotiate or shop around
This hotel is simply amazing. Not just because of its great location and lovely clean facilities but because of its excellent staff! The ladies at waterfront hotel go out of their way every single day to ensure you have an amazing time in Hue; from the free train station pickup and the free welcome smoothie, to them cooking us free dinner when we were flooded-in, the whole stay was excellent. What's even more is the fantastic value for money!! A real gem of a hotel!
A little way out of old town but still accessible by a 15min walk or 8mins using their free bikes. Nice breakfast included (including made to order omelettes), has a lovely pool too. Friendly staff, nice and clean. A lovely place to stay in Hoi An provided you don't mind the short walk/ride
Nice, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, reasonably priced transfers. See-through glass partitions between toilet and bedroom are an interesting addition. That aside it is a lovely hotel in a decent location (5mins walk from the beach).
Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, great location and good value for money.
Great atmosphere, great location, really friendly staff who really try to engage with all the guests to get them involved in as many fun things as possible (free wine and cheese nights, nights at the pub etc). A great place to stay in Dublin. Would definitely recommend it.
Nice hostel, clean and good location. Could do with soap in all the bathrooms as opposed to just ladies or just guys. The common area lacks atmosphere as it's really just a room filled with people on iDevices being watched by the reception desk. Could do with some music or something during non-quiet-time. Staff are friendly though and beds are comfy. Would stay here again/recommend if it was for a short stay only.
Pros: good location, comfy beds, clean Cons: most of the cons stem from the fact that buildings in Amsterdam are so narrow; no real common area, just a few tint seats in reception, not enough showers to service the whole hostel (showers are over toilets so using one occupies the other) Despite all this the hostel still manages to have a nice atmosphere about it. Definitely not a bad option for the price. If you want better amenities you're looking to pay a lot more
Good location, nice pancake breakfasts, friendly and helpful staff, good wifi. Only shortfall is that the hostel needs more showers.
Awesome location, just across from a park that whilst we were staying there was full of stalls and street foods at night. Nice breakfast that alternates daily. Really clean and very comfortable mattresses. Good value for money. Would definitely stay here again
Fantastic location. Nice breakfast including fresh fruit. Unfortunately didnt get to experience the rooftop bar as we arrived during elections where the sale & consumption of all alcohol is banned nationwide, but it looked cool. Good aircon in the dorms.
Definitely the cheapest accom option on the island. Rooms are hot, dusty and tiny though and need shelves or more hooks (showers need hooks too). Room are relatively mosquito proof (a huge bonus on mosquito island). Good wifi. Bar makes nice pizzas. Didn't experience any of Peter's aforementioned douchiness, he was giving away free shots one night. Bar is fairly expensive, however so is the whole island. Caye caulker definitely the cheaper island if looking for Belize on a budget.
Great hostel. Excellent location (2min walk from centre of town). Nice breakfast. Clean. Well equipped kitchen, & owner is a really nice guy who will do anything he can to ensure your stay is enjoyable, highly recommended.
Nice pool, nice pancake breakfast, taco Tuesday was awesome! Cheap beers. Ok location, needs laundry service to be perfect as nearest laundry is 15mins walk away
The owner Kevin really goes out of his way to ensure you have the best possible stay. From the free bottled water to the free tour of the town everything is done to ensure you get the most out of your time in the Galapagos. The hostel is a bit of the way out of town but cabs are only $1 or its only a 15min stroll. Rooms were cleaned every day, showers were hot, beds comfortable and there's wifi throughout the hostel. Would definitely recommend this place
Pros: owner is a really nice guy who will give you a ton of info and help you with anything you need (taxis, directions etc) + lets you use his personal kitchen for basic cooking Cons: no real common area (dining room is locked most of the day/night) apart from small seating area with a few wooden benches which feels like you're waiting for a bus, so hard to meet other travellers in this huge hostel, no toilet paper in common bathrooms, hot water was intermittent, no kitchen
Pros: Good location opposite the beach, bathrooms were cleaned regularly, cheap & good meals at restaurant. Cons: No hot showers for the duration of our stay, some staff are friendly but others look like they´d rather stick pins in their eyes than help you, kitchen is very dirty and basically non-existent, bed/mattress was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on.
Hostel has a nice vibe, nice common areas/TV room. Bathrooms need more attention however as they´re often dirty, have no toilet paper & never have soap. Our room was like a jail cell, tiny (all 4 bare walls almost touched the bed) with a tiny window. Wifi is decent but doesnt cover whole hostel. Well equipped kitchen available, nice and close to the beach/walk & only a short walk from restaurants/supermarket. Better directions needed on HstlWrld - Approx 13 Soles taxi from cruz del sur terminal.
Beautifully clean, and only a short walk to the main square. This hostel has a huge range of features including multiple tv/movie rooms, nice areas to sit outside, decent kitchen & wifi throughout the whole hostel. The best feature of this hostel however is the staff.. They ill do everything they can to ensure your stay is enjoyable. They even let us shower and use the facilities for free two days after we had checked-out and come back to collect our packs! Highly recommended hostel!
Pros: breakfast includes eggs, Nice staff, nice rooftop area Cons: Hotwater gets turned off at an undisclosed hour in the afternoon, needs a good clean & general maintenance, our room had no curtain and was on a main road so we had 24hr daylight & noise, lacks atmosphere (we were the only guests), no wifi in room, needs more comfy common areas Location is good but you can get better
Excellent Hostel! Perfect location, great restaurant & bar, amazing staff (they even helped people carry bags to their room), beautiful colonial building, spotlessly clean, great vibe & activities every night! Can't fault this hostel in anyway. The only thing they could add which would take this hostel from amazing to best in Peru would be wifi throughout the whole hostel (currently only common areas). Highly recommended hostel!
Great hostel. Great breakfast (pancakes). Free beer is nice & a great way to socialise in the evenings. Nice and clean. Wifi throughout the whole hostel which is good. Nice big lockers under bunks.
Good location & nice clean hostel. Not a party hostel as such, just a huge hostel with a large bar that empties at 11pm when everyone heads out or over to wild rover, only the hoards of people spewing all night are left behind. Hostel lacks any real atmosphere and is ridiculously noisy. For a party definitely head to wild rover, for a hostel with a great vibe head to adventure brew.
There's not a great deal to do in Cochabamba besides chill out for a few days, check out the markets etc. if chilling out is what you want to do then this is the place to do it. A relaxed atmosphere, fantastic facilities (pool, kitchen a Michelin star chef would enjoy cooking in, huge lawn with deck chairs etc). The owner Alex goes to enormous lengths to make sure you enjoy your stay, he even let us arrive at 5am after our overnight bus. Location is only 20mins from city in a nice, safe area.
This large colonial house is where Claus & family live. The majority of the house is a language school, a bar, & then there's one large dorm semi divided in two. Claus the owner is a lovely guy who will do anything to ensure you have a good stay however the lady who works the day not so much. They keep no record of phone bookings or hostelworld bookings so expect to arrive with no room available. "Kitchen" is electric hot plate in the dorm next to a bed. However great character + good location

This place could be awesome. But it's not. It has hot showers &ok rooms but its let down by its staff &strange rules. Once you arrive, trip over hoards of people using the wifi in the reception (only place it works) &hand over your $$ youre given a key & thats the end of the service. Want an extra blanket? "not possible" as they have "heating" (doesn't work). The kitchen? Exists, but every cupboard is locked, you rent cutlery from the front desk. Security is non-existent, guy was robbed in lobby
Great location. Good place to crash for one night after a Salar de Uyuni tour, nice hot showers. Average breakfast. On a whole a hostel that's good to stay for one night but wouldn't recommend staying longer (Wouldn't recommend more than one night in Uyuni anyway)

They should really really mention in the description that this place is full of cats. If you love cats then this is your hostel. If you are allergic to cats then welcome to hell on earth as there is no place those cats don't go! Cats aside its an ok hostel with some nice hammocks to lay in the sun. Needs more toilets as only two common toilets to serve whole hostel which are combined with shower so if two people are showering it can mean no toilets for a while. Positives: giant bunk beds
Everything about this hostel is average. Nothing is overly terrible but nothing is overly great. Location is good and a nice view from the balcony but the hostel is noisy due to its location and the creaky wooden floors. Don't even bother with breakfast, stale bread a slice of cheese and a piece of salami is all you're allowed. We have stayed in much better for the price in Santiago
This hostel is run by a vibrant & fun (if not a slightly crazy) lady who will go to the ends of the earth to ensure you have a good time. The free wine hour is a brilliant way to meet fellow travellers and when they have BBQ nights they are among the best meals we have had. The tours they offer from the hostel are great! The character & great vibe of this hostel will ensure you overlook some of the smaller imperfections (e.g. no locks on toilet doors) & ensure your have a great & memorable stay.
Really cool building with lots of cool rooms & spaces & a pool. Location is good. Easy walk to Main Street and 10 mins to old town. Kitchen is fairly spacious. Unfortunately when we were there it was really quiet, even the it was evident that this hostel desperately needs more chairs & comfy places to sit especially considering the wifi only works downstairs. Dorms ok, nice big lockable draws under beds. Long stayers in 12bed dorm means you can feel like you're in their personal bedroom.
Good location, nice and close to ferry terminal, main street, and 10min easy walk into old town. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. A property like this could be a great hostel with tons of charm but it just misses the mark a bit. Not a bad hostel at all but not a great one.
This place is like a 5 star hotel. Amazing beds. Rooms cleaned every day. Super friendly staff. Full list of things to do in BA including tours and free activities. Great BBQ on a Friday night. Great location, close to the subway. Great facilities. Really cannot fault this place at all! We have and will recommend it to anyone looking for accom in BA
Great value for money, great swimming pool, great staff. It was really quiet when we were there which made it a lovely relaxing stay. Perfect location, literally across the road from the bus terminal and two blocks from everything else in town. Breakfast could be improved but its a minor fact considering how good everything else is.
Great place to stay. Cool rooftop area. Great breakfast, HUGE kitchen with more utensils than my home. Cool movie room. Nice and clean. Only feedback would be that the whole place echoes as there are so many hard surfaces so you can hear the slightest sound throughout the hostel. Some rugs or similar would go a long way to stopping this and making it an unfaultable hostel
Some strange rules in this hostel e.g no drinking. I mean not even a glass of wine over dinner. The hostel is clean and the beds comfortable but the hostel has I strange layout and once you're in your locked in until the staff buzz you out. Breakfast is not great by Brazilian standards. Not a bad hostel but not sure if we'd choose to stay here again.
Positives: short walk into town (5 mins) with a nice bar on the beach out front that does great tasting and quite cheap dinners. Negatives: 8 beds crammed into a room that should only have 6 max, kitchen is small, basic and outside Tips: can't swim in the beach,
Great hostel! Our dorm was basically brand new with a huge bathroom and shower. Nice kitchen in the courtyard out back and great bar & restaurant out the front. The owner victor is a lovely guy who has built most of the hotel himself and takes great pride in it. Guaranteed you won't be disappointed by this place!
Location is in a bit of no-man's-land. Right on the edge of Botofogo it's atleast a 15 walk to anywhere (copacobana, botofogo etc). Still the hostel is nice & clean, showers are hot, there's a cool aircon'd tv room. 14 bed dorm was well aircon'd but on the street side of the hostel so REALLY noisy! Some of the staff are great, others not. Kitchen is tiny, bordering on unusable. This hostel has a lot of rooms all over the place so it tends to lack some warmth & vibe. In total just an ok hostel
Hostel is relatively clean and in a safe area but lacks character. No real comfortable common areas and so stark and bleak it kind of feels like you're staying in a hospital ward
The great character of this hostel will certainly ensure you will overlook any of the minor imperfections. The staff are great, right the first email asking if they could help us plan our stay before we arrived. The breakfast is great. Only tip: avoid the double room as it's on the ground floor and the window opens on to the courtyard so your room fills with cigarette smoke and noise if people are out there. For any Australian travellers, they had vegemite when we were there!
