Cozy Hostel, Puno, Peru
8.9
6th Dec 2015

This was a charming hostel with a wonderful owner. The WiFi was some of the best we've had in Peru. The only issue I had was that they overbooked our dormroom and "upgraded" us to a private room with only a double bed, so I had to share the bed with my friend when I would have much preferred my own bed.

hello friends :) we hope you are fine, thank for visit our family, we really appreciate that you choose Cozy hostel like your place to stay in Puno. thank for your compliments about us :) and i'm sorry for the inconvenience that you had (the dorm room with 8 beds was full and we prefer give you private room at the same price). you are welcome any time!!! God bless you. Shaito

Pariwana Hostel Cusco, Cusco, Peru
7.7
24th Nov 2015

Pariwana was generally a good hostel. It had excellent facilities and services, a restaurant with good food, and I thought the dorms were comfortable. I thought the plugs in the lockers were a nice touch. Cons were that it was huge (I prefer smaller hostels), a party hostel, and the WiFi was absolutely awful. It took us an hour and a half to book a single bus ticket.

Dear Guest, thank you for your review, We are glad to hear you liked the restaurant, dorms, facilities and services in the Hostel. Thank you for taking the time to write us your recommendations! We are working hard to provide a better WIFI signal, We hope you come back soon. Best regards. Front Desk Manager

Liked: not party hostel. It was a good place to meet people though. The staff was really great - super helpful and friendly. Disliked: had some issues with hot water. Wasn't always hot.

A decent hostel that wasn't remarkably good or bad. The extra blankets and hot water bottles were a nice touch. Unlimited Wifi would have been nice. They give you one hour free for your entire stay so if you want more you have to check out and then check back in again.

Hi, and thank you for taking the time to rate our hostel. We're glad that overall you enjoyed your stay with us. NZ is a little way behind the rest of the world and Wifi is not generally available for free country wide. We have been giving away one free hour internet voucher at check in as a special offer for the month of May. For the reasonable price of $3, extra hour vouchers available or you can purchase a 24 hour pass for $6.50. Kind regards The Jailhouse team

A really nice location if you have a car. Could have done with a few more toilets and showers. Free WiFi for members was a definite bonus! Very clean, quiet little hostel.

Fine hostel. Almost affordable WiFi, clean, was a party hostel but had amazing sound proofing. We were in our room pretty early and didn't hear a thing.

At $4 for 24 hours unlimited we can't make it much cheaper. However we do offer all guests 1 hour free internet on our house computers. Hope you enjoy the rest of your travels.

Nice little hostel - great location, great staff, amazing showers. Unfortunately, the WiFi is freaky expensive, but I'd still recommend it. Lovely place.

Thanks for the great review, Actually we have just had our WiFi changed and it is much less expensive, But I do agree that our old system was expensive, but that's Internet for you in New Zealand third world slow and expensive

It's a great place - not your typical hostel, more of a community, so if you're looking for that it's perfect. It doesn't have the greatest facilities (one shower, no sinks in toilets - have to use kitchen) but what it lacks, it makes up for in charm.

This was one of the best hostels I've stayed at over the last 6 months of traveling. The owner mike goes out of his way to make people feel welcome, you can get discounts on many Singapore activities, the WiFi is super fast, it's clean, and there are big lockers. FYI - this hostel is tiny, with only three rooms, and feels homey.

Really great hostel - the staff are extremely accommodating. the WiFi worked well in the common area and the room. The location is good - it's in the old part of the city but not in the main tourist area - that's a good ten to fifteen minute walk. Comfortable beds.

It was a good hostel - clean, well located, free wifi in the rooms, ensuite bathrooms. Unfortunately they charge three euros an hour to use a computer but that was the only main drawback. The hostel also offers a walking tour of the main city sights, which was a helpful starting point.

The best part about this place was the staff - they were unfailingly friendly, helpful and nice. I spent a whole week here and loved it. The only more challenging thing was the token operated shower located outside the shower, so if you want to have longer than 5 min you had to get out halfway through to recharge. Still, if I could go back to cinque terre, I'd stay at the same place in a heartbeat.
