This was a charming hostel with a wonderful owner. The WiFi was some of the best we've had in Peru. The only issue I had was that they overbooked our dormroom and "upgraded" us to a private room with only a double bed, so I had to share the bed with my friend when I would have much preferred my own bed.
Pariwana was generally a good hostel. It had excellent facilities and services, a restaurant with good food, and I thought the dorms were comfortable. I thought the plugs in the lockers were a nice touch. Cons were that it was huge (I prefer smaller hostels), a party hostel, and the WiFi was absolutely awful. It took us an hour and a half to book a single bus ticket.
Liked: not party hostel. It was a good place to meet people though. The staff was really great - super helpful and friendly. Disliked: had some issues with hot water. Wasn't always hot.
A decent hostel that wasn't remarkably good or bad. The extra blankets and hot water bottles were a nice touch. Unlimited Wifi would have been nice. They give you one hour free for your entire stay so if you want more you have to check out and then check back in again.
The hostel was OK. Great big common areas, but the whole place had a weird smell.

A really nice location if you have a car. Could have done with a few more toilets and showers. Free WiFi for members was a definite bonus! Very clean, quiet little hostel.
A really nice place, made better by the unlimited free WiFi and the nightly pudding.
Fine hostel. Almost affordable WiFi, clean, was a party hostel but had amazing sound proofing. We were in our room pretty early and didn't hear a thing.
Stayed in a lot of hostels in the past year and this one is one of the better ones - it's got a cool layout and feels homey.
Super, liked it a lot!
The owners are fantastic, and the location is great - right next to Whangarei falls and some nice walks. It would have been nice if a blanket and top sheet were included in the price.
Nice little hostel - great location, great staff, amazing showers. Unfortunately, the WiFi is freaky expensive, but I'd still recommend it. Lovely place.
It's a great place - not your typical hostel, more of a community, so if you're looking for that it's perfect. It doesn't have the greatest facilities (one shower, no sinks in toilets - have to use kitchen) but what it lacks, it makes up for in charm.
It was pretty OK, if you like party hostels with a hotel like atmosphere.
This was one of the best hostels I've stayed at over the last 6 months of traveling. The owner mike goes out of his way to make people feel welcome, you can get discounts on many Singapore activities, the WiFi is super fast, it's clean, and there are big lockers. FYI - this hostel is tiny, with only three rooms, and feels homey.
I enjoyed my stay here. Good WiFi, a nice kitchen area, and friendly and helpful staff.
This was a great hostel/dive shop. You might end up getting roped into going scuba diving though.. Just a little warning. The staff are great.
Really great hostel - the staff are extremely accommodating. the WiFi worked well in the common area and the room. The location is good - it's in the old part of the city but not in the main tourist area - that's a good ten to fifteen minute walk. Comfortable beds.
Very nice clean hostel and a great place to meet people! WiFi didn't work in rooms, but that's not such a bad thing and made everyone hang out in the common room.
Nice hostel. Good value for the low low price I was paying. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

It was a good hostel - clean, well located, free wifi in the rooms, ensuite bathrooms. Unfortunately they charge three euros an hour to use a computer but that was the only main drawback. The hostel also offers a walking tour of the main city sights, which was a helpful starting point.
I ended up staying at sunrock (affiliated with vrachos) because then I also got breakfast and supper included in the price. It was a great place! The meals were a definite highlight and my vegetarian diet was accommodated with no problems. Great place, great view.
The best part about this place was the staff - they were unfailingly friendly, helpful and nice. I spent a whole week here and loved it. The only more challenging thing was the token operated shower located outside the shower, so if you want to have longer than 5 min you had to get out halfway through to recharge. Still, if I could go back to cinque terre, I'd stay at the same place in a heartbeat.
Great stay. The hostel is clean, secure, and the WiFi works great.
Other than the drunk roommates one night my stay here was great. Although it's on the edge of a party hostel (not really my style) it was really clean secure, and in a cool neighborhood. The Fixed gear bicycle theme was cool too!
Best hostel in Scotland, from a backpacker perspective!
