This hostel is great. Lovely building with nice clean rooms and a good shower (always a bonus in SA). Mark is super friendly and will make you feel really welcome. There's a small supermarket over the road and there's a tube stop a few minutes walk away.

Great dorms, very comfy beds. The lockers all have power chargers in them too. The bar was very social, lots of fun at night!

Great hostel close to the centre. We booked two day trips at the reception, both were with good companies and went smoothly. I'll be back in Huaraz soon and will be staying here again!

Owner Comment (Hide)
Hi Dear friend It’s a pity that you have that idea about the hostel. We have tried making art from recycled stuff, some of them buyed on second hand stores, and some others from artist. Maybe as you stayed just for one night, you haven’t appreciate the rest of the hostel areas.

What a great place to relax and unwind. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and main strip. Stayed here twice during our time around Mancora.

The Point Cusco

The Aussie guy who runs the place seemed decent enough but the staff they allow to work there for free accommodation are absolutely useless. Set some sort of standard to come up to. Most of them were more interested in drinking or talking than serving guests. The worst of them all was an American guy with a Columbia football shirt. I ordered Nachos with him..40 minutes later I ask where they are. He starts asking others if the ordered was processed and didn't come close to apologising. Knob!

Great hostel tucked along a small road away from the crowds. We stayed for a few days before going off on a trek. Our luggage was safely looked after for the 5 days we were away. The owners and staff are lovely and the conservatory/breakfast room has great views of the rooftops of Cusco.

Nice room. Felt more like a hotel than a hostel room. Showers were ice cold though and the pillows were hard. How do people sleep on those things.

Hostel Bekuo San Jose

I only stayed one night as was just passing through San Jose as you do! The staff were very friendly helping me book a taxi to the airport. Seemed like a well run hostel although there was a older guy there complaining about peoples choice of tv programs and how late the lights in the common room should be on for, thus creating a strange vibe. Every place has the occasional odd ball I guess.

Great location near the beach and there's a cool area to hang out by the kitchen. I got there on a Wednesday and had a quiet couple of nights. The dorms got full at the weekend, people were ready to party. Good times.
