Lady was a wonderful host....it was like staying with your grandfather....very homely.
We stsyed on a sunday night after the hostel had a big night the night before which would explain the atmosphere being a little quiet. But the staff were great. The town is a little odd though.

We stayed in house number 4 which may have been why it lacked atmosphere but its less a hostel / backpackers and more a shared apartment.
Great stay on the canal boat but felt it was a quite expensive for what we received I.e. shared bathroom.
Srdjan and Valentina are amazing hosts....they treated us extremely well and we had a great time chatting with them.
The staff, location and facilities are great. What's missing is some atmosphere as it feels more like a school dormitory than a hostel.
The hotel is very basic but clean and value for money. Unfortunately the wifi doesn't work very well and our bathroom leaked, but the staff did aim to resolve these quickly for us.
Nice, chilled atmosphere and great value for money. Good breakfast and good size rooms. Omar the owner, is a great host. Only downside was the wifi wasn't working everywhere but Omar was looking into that and it worked perfectly down in the common area so no dramas really. Would definitely stay here again.
Tom, the owner, was very helpful in organising a last minute tour for us and when it didn't go as planned, he took it upon himself to right the wrongs. We were very appreciative. The hotel is clean, cheap and in a great location.
If you're travelling on your own or in Istanbul to party, then this is your place. Really social atmosphere with helpful and friendly staff. Ali provides great advice and assistance when booking travel in and around Istanbul.
Good location only a short walk to sea / great bars / city / Jaffa. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is really relaxed. Strongly recommend if you're travelling on your own or in a group as many like minded travellers stay here and guaranteed you'll end up partying with them.
You certainly get what you pay for here. Its a charming building but there are far too many people crammed into the dorms. We stayed on the roof which was a cool experience but its meant to be a 19-man dorm however our last night there were 40 people staying there. Also the staff were a too defensive about criticism given by me and other guests, rather than accept the issue and say they'll resolve. That said, we paid around AUD $16 each a night so its cheap and cheerful enough!
