I hated the dorm which was one of the chalets, two single beds downstairs, four single beds upstairs around the walls. There was only room for three back pack lockers and these weren't quite big enough for an average pack. The ceiling was low and the light bright. It was a bit airless too. Having booked for four nighst originally, I checked out the next day. The owner was brilliant though and was perfectly OK about me leaving early. One of the chalets for two people would be better. Nice garden.

It is going through a bit of a refurbishment, which it needs in places, particularly the ban gneral had a gat stay and woudl reommend it. A good location, only 5 minutes or so from the metro and great for a number of gay bars and clubs which are almost opposite. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was good. Comfortable beds and you get a towel thrown in!

A fairly easy walk to the centre of town, very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast, this is a great choice. There is a bit of road noise though so if you a light sleeper like me, ear plugs would be a good investment. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Tucked away in the back streets of Lagoa with friendly staff and good breakfasts, this is a nice little hostel. Don't expect early nights though if you stay here. It is not a party hostel but most people do go out from about 23.00 to enjoy Lagoa then come back to the dorms throughout the night. The lockers would have been better if they were bigger enough to take your average backpack, they were a bit small.

Friendly staff, from the lady doing breakfast to the guys on reception and an excellent location. I thought breakfast was good with plenty of it. Very secure, each dorm has individual lockers which take a backpack, albeit it is a tight squeeze and you do need to bring your own padlock. I stayed my first two nights and went back for the last, partly because it was easier for a bus out the next morning. It can be a good base to tour different beaches. The front dorms can be noisey with traffic.

A perfect location right by the beach and some super friendly staff. Although we stayed in high season, $100 for a fairly basic double room really was not good value. in the off season, with lower prices to match, this would be a good choice.
