Portmagee Hostel

Very basic, good value, not much of a social atmosphere but perfect if you're just trying to wake up in Portmagee.

Dink's Place

Hvar, Croatia

Dink's Place is the best of the best. Great location, spotless rooms, and super friendly/relaxed common areas. Dink himself is a legend. He makes it a point to talk to every guest and give recommendations for stuff to do; he'll make sure you have the best time in Hvar, including the Pub Crawl that he helps organize-- from what we can remember, it was an awesome time. You'd be stupid to stay anywhere else in Hvar town.

Hostel City Center Sarajevo

Sarajevo, Bosnia And Herzegovina

Really great hostel, very cozy/chill vibe, comfy beds, and super helpful and friendly staff. The only two minor drawbacks are 1) no locks for the lockers and 2) it's on a street with a bunch of pubs/clubs-- not necessarily a drawback, but it was extremely loud even on Sunday night; ideal for going out, not ideal for catching up on sleep!

Very good hostel, especially convenient if you are taking the train in/out of the city. Great kitchen, decent common area. Big free lockers are a definite plus.

Snuffel Backpacker Hostel

Bruges, Belgium

Average hostel. The bar area and free breakfast are good. The staff was friendly, and the location was not too far from the center. But if you do stay there, bring flipflops for showering because they are in a separate building across the courtyard, and were not very clean.

Antwerp Central Youth Hostel

This is a good hostel: safe, centrally located, clean, and the free breakfast is really good. The atmosphere is unlike other hostels though, it feels very utilitarian and not very cozy. There is a restaurant and the bar is well-stocked and reasonably priced. Probably not the easiest hostel at which to meet other people, but aside from that it's very good.

This is a wonderful hostel with so much character. It has one of the best equipped and most relaxing common areas of any hostel I've stayed in, the beds are super comfy, and the staff is so friendly. It's in a cool area too, close to the center but not too close. Stay here!!

Barnacles Temple Bar House

Dublin, Ireland

Really good hostel, supported by an EXCELLENT staff (so friendly & helpful). It's smack in the middle of Temple Bar, which is a plus if you're looking for a good time, but it does get loud at night. Good security at the front door, but you have to pay extra to lock your stuff up in your room,
