Helpful and friendly staff to assist with anything you might need. I was only in Egypt for a few days and they assisted in setting up a customised tour to cover everything I wanted to visit from Cairo to Aswan!

Small hostel going through expansion run by a very welcoming family for a home away from home. Located a short walk away from town and a great little church square for some tasty street food.

No kitchen for use and was really quiet when I was there so no real hostel atmosphere. Staff was helpful for a tour that I did. Location is not too bad with a quick stroll to the main central area.

Quiet place with working WIFI and good kitchen. Not too far from the city centre either, just a quick 5 min walk. Might have a little trouble if you donĀ“t speak Spanish, but there is always google translate.

Periko's Youth Hostel

Bariloche, Argentina

Good hostel where the staff are helpful and friendly. Fully equipped kitchen and working WIFI. There are lockers but the eye screws they use to secure them are a little suspect. Usual bread and jams for breakfast with some corn flakes. Close to the bus stops to get to places and handy to the supermercado as well.

Great if you are on a budget, need gear and advice for Torres del Paine. Pollolina is fair, kind and just lovely. Close to town with restaurants any other stores for outdoor gear you might need to purchase as well as the supermercado to stock up on supplies. Wood stove in kitchen works really well too. Good showers and clean.

Calafate Hostel

El Calafate, Argentina

Big hostel with an impersonal feel to it. No lockers in the room, and no lock in the mixed dorm bathroom ensuite. The old wooden floors do make quite a bit of noise when trying to sleep as well. Staff are efficient but also impersonal. Good location as far as the bus terminal, banks and restaurants go. The supermercado isn't too far either. WIFI a bit slow and unreliable.

Had an awesome stay here. Especially over NY where we had a great asado and party with everyone. Gaston & Shannyn are so helpful and friendly as well. Facilities are what you'd like in all hostels, fully equipped kitchen, regularly cleaned rooms and bathrooms, WIFI etc. Totally recommend this place for anyone looking for that home away from home.

The staff were really friendly. However, the bathroom wasn't clean and the room was filthy as the 10 bed dorm was full and guests were leaving stuff everywhere making for an overall unpleasant stay.

i imagine the guest understood it was a 10 bed dorm in the most popular hostel of Salvador,so there is always a chance of some grubby fellow guests. To say the bathrooms were dirty implies we dont take care ,i would find that hard to believe?? We do have some great doubles so if you are after more space try one ,and you have your private bathrrom too . There is of course or our new house too, less people normaly.

Well suited to travellers who don't necessarily want to stay at a party hostel. Would be helpful if there were small maps available at reception to get around the beaches. I stayed in the 4 bed room and found it clean and comfortable.
