Clean. Good location in the embassy area, meaning cleaner and more pricey. The cheapest single is 6500CFA but without aircon you won’t last long.. I moved to an aircon room the second day, 20000CFA, too pricey I reckon. It’s alright for a night or two to see Cotonou, but the place has absolutely no atmosphere and no suitable areas for socializing - saying that, there weren’t anyone there to socialize with either;)

Great location in town center, clean, nice bar, good swimming pool, lovely garden. Lacks the traditional backpacker atmosphere if that’s what you’re looking for. Overall great place.
Hi there. Thanks so much for the lovely rating and feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, we are more of the chill out backpackers ie: for people who like a quiet, peaceful, mellow space, rather than a backpackers where there is a lot of noise and hype. So indeed, if you are looking for party scene, then we are not necessarily for you. However, out of the backpackers that are around in Livingstone, we are probably the most conveniently located, close to lots of bars, cafes, taxis etc, so it's ideal for going out at night, but then still being able to come "home" to a safe and quieter environment. Saying that, the vibe does depend on who is staying at the time. Sometimes there are a quieter, mellow bunch of guests in-house, and sometimes there are the party people who bring a party vibe. Also, it can be seasonal, we are currently in a low season, but June, July and August are usually busier and therefore more people hanging in the bar etc. Thanks again for the feedback. Much appreciated. With best wishes, Elissa

Excellent dorms with curtains and lockers. All beds have private closets for clothes. Nice roof top terrace. The travel agent affiliated with the hotel might not be up to speed yet, choose someone else. Breakfast a bit boring after a couple of days. But dorms are good value for money, would stay again.

Look no further, this is your best bet in Kigali, for sure! If you’re a backpacker and want cool facilities, great atmosphere, cool staff, great value for your money, then Mamba is THE place for you. The managers, John and Desire, are are and will help you with whatever you may need. Breakfast is toast, eggs and coffee - good. There’s a great swimming pool, a volleyball court, a bar and a restaurant. WiFi works well. AWESOME hostel!!

Alright place ten minutes walk from the Main Street. Not much of an atmosphere, ok staff. WiFi worked fine. Food nothing special. Tour prices alright. Would choose a more central location next time.

It’s just so filthy and worn out you won’t believe it! Can’t believe anyone would stay there when there are far better places down the street. We booked a 2-bed deluxe apartment, got a 1-bed. Needless to say we came - saw - left.
All our room are double bed. Sorry that you didn't see it. As you didn't stay how can you put such ratings You make a mistake and you left. We charge you nothing. And you put such ratings. It's just dishonest.

Great location, Kreuzberg is the perfect spot in Berlin. Good price compared to other Berlin hostels. Great terrace. Big common room with an open kitchen solution, very good. Lockers in the rooms and everybody has keys to lock the dorm rooms. Many bathrooms but they could have been cleaned more often. Great atmosphere. bad wifi but what the hell... A great hostel if you enjoy proper backpacking. Would def stay again!

Good location, very clean with ensuite bathrooms. Good kitchen in the basement common room. Nice courtyard for socializing but must be quiet after 22:00. Close to Charles bridge an only 10-15 minutes walk to central bar areas. Friendly and helpful staff. Good prices. Would def stay again.

Arrived to a dirty bed. Asked for new linen+pillow, got a mattress sheet, a used blanket and pillow but no pillow case. Asked again, got a pillow case. Asked again for linen for the blanket but she couldn't do more because 'I'm only working here'..!!! Got an extra sheet in the end. Extremely incompetent, rude and miserable service. Ramshackle steel beds, bathroom door falling off, tiny kitchen, all pics lie. Booked 4 nights, left after one. The manager refunded me, good.

Great location close to the Acropolis. Roof top bar great views of Acropolis. Friendly staff but I was given wrong transport information on 3 different occasions. There's a common room in the basement where you can store luggage (not free) and watch videos, but you actually have to pay to borrow a dvd..??! All in all an ok place to stay for a day or 2. Btw, look how they comment on all reviews that have some "complaints", that's just so childish. They're never wrong hahaha. Now, prove me right!
Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We apologize if the information was not accurate. The information we have given you on how to reach the bus terminal is one way to get there, the bus terminal is not easy to find. We have a lounge area in our basement floor where you can find storage lockers, the small ones cost 0.20 cents/hour or 2 EUR/day and the big ones cost 0.50 cents/hour or 3.50EUR/day, we have a projector where you can watch movies, desktop computers, a laundry room and a pool table. To use the projector we charge 5 EUR. We take all reviews into consideration and do our very best to improve and meet customer satisfaction. Happy travels, AthenStyle.

Good choice in Gdansk. Nice rooms with lockers. Good common room with couches, music, games, books, computers and video games. They should also get movies I reckon. Common kitchen for cooking, all good. Would stay again.

Great staff, good location, great breakfast, very laid back and chilled atmosphere. A great option if you're staying a couple of nights in Merzouga.

Great place on the outskirts of the medina. Great staff. Breakfast quite disappointing, very chaotic self serving and it didn't feel "fresh" (old toasted bread). Good facilities with a huge outdoor area. Had a great time there!

Good location in the medina. The only showers are located on the top floor which means you have to walk four floors up if you stay in the ground floor dorm. The roof top terrace is a big plus but other than that I'd say the place is a bit too cramped for my personal liking. Breakfast not included which is a bit strange given the price/what's normal at other hostels in Morocco. Not much of an atmosphere, probably because the only common room is on the roof.

Good place in the medina. Very nice staff. Breakfast a bit "thin". Good terrace. Big place with many beds. Reckon this is a good place to stay in Tangier.

Good location close to the medina and walking distance to El Hassan Mosque. Wifi works well. Old facilities and literally no space in the shower (you gotta hug the shower curtain while showering). Breakfast alright. Next door to the only hostel in town but I'm thinking hotel central is a better deal.

Great chilled out place, the roof top terraces are a big plus and good for socializing. Lots of dorms which mean lots of people. Wifi works well in the indoor common areas and dorms. Staff are good people. Breakfast is plentiful. Check out is 10:30 which is a tad too early for my liking but I guess the size of the place vs cleaning explains that.

I didn't rate this place high but I actually don't think you'll find much better places in Shanghai...good café on site. Lockers in the dorm. Good showers. Not much atmosphere but all in all not too bad taken into account the * I suffered through the night before haha.

The air con in the dorm was literally dripping like a shower all night but the staff claimed it was nothing wrong and suggested to up the temperature...it was boiling hot outside and we set the air con on 20, what's wrong with that! The staff refused to fix the air con and also would not move me to another dorm. I checked out after one night and demanded to be refunded for the other two I paid for - surprisingly I did get my money back after 20 minutes discussion and moved on.

Nice big dorm ensuite. Lockers in dorm. Great bar downstairs. Good location in the middle of the backpacker area. Would stay again, actually stayed there on three separate visits. Friendly and helpful staff.

Good location close to one of the gates. Great bar in the basement. The bar is open for anyone which also means that anyone can enter the hostel from the basement stairs. Nice restaurant with good food on site. Good dorms though a bit cramped. Sitting areas outside on each floor. Would stay again.

Not easy to find hostels in Tashkent so might as well stay here! Swimming pool is a nice touch. Very clean. Lockers in dorm rooms. Also flat screen tv in dorm. The common room could easily be made "more of". A bit out of the city center but in about 20 minutes walk you're there.

Good location, clean, good staff (especially the charming Rela), obviously very overpriced being dorm bed in a hostel but if you wanna stay in the Old Town then.... Not much of a common room which makes meeting others a bit difficult alas not much atmosphere. Included breakfast is cereals..

Staff varied too much regarding friendliness, one second happy the next arrogant and uninterested. This went for all the different staff members I encountered.

The only hostel on the outskirts of Taroko village, good location for getting on/off shuttle bus through the gorge. Not much character, dorms are all situated in the basement with bathroom showers that literally wet the whole room incl toilette. Ken, the manager, is a nice guy, if you arrive after last shuttle bus from Xincheng train station, he will pick you up (but charges you 4 times the bus fare, which he will only tell you afterwards). Do the Jhuilu trail (get permit from Police day b4)
Maybe bus only cost you 25NT , but Taxi will cost 170 I think 100NT is reasonable price

Well organized hostel in Sinchon with heaps of cool little bars nearby. Excellent service and attitude from the staff. Cool little tv and kitchen lounge on fifth floor, also tv lounge on second floor. Free selv service laundry. Best value for private rooms in Seoul I reckon. Bath rooms could have been a little cleaner. Would stay here again no doubt!

Great hostel centrally located in Seogwipo! Very clean dorms with big bathrooms attached (en-suite). Cool restaurant/bar at the premises, they arrange bbq @ 10.000 KRW several days a week. Staff super friendly, the manager, Kenny, will help you out with whatever you need and he speaks good English. He might even draw you accurate little maps to make sure you get where you want! Great self service breakfast included in the price. Would definitely stay here again.

Situated in Hongdae area, pretty close to heaps of bars, well connected to metro. Directions given on the website are not easily understood when there. Staff were very helpful and chilled - WHEN they were there! If you book this hostel make sure to give an arrival time and be there around that time! If coming in 'from the street' chances are no one will be there. The 'common room' is right outside the main dorm, no TV only a couple of pc's. Nice roof top terrace. No real atmosphere

Decent hostel in Causewater Bay. Unfortunately no atmosphere to speak of, hostel spread out on 7 different floors, only a small common room at reception and a tiny roof top terrace. Maybe it's a Hong Kong syndrome, but never ever have inexperienced pathetic dorm behavior like this, youngsters waking every body up at 2-3 AM every morning, turning on lights and slamming doors, one woman even started blow drying her hair in the dorm in the middle of the night...if she'd only blown something else..
