Received the most AMAZING welcome here, Huge smiles and cold water upon arrival, as well as having our bags carried to our rooms. The dorm rooms are very nice, large sturdy beds and a huge locker for every person in the room. Unfortunately, an Ipod was stolen from one of our lockers, whilst it was locked. So locking the bag itself inside the locker is advised. Overall, though this is a really nice place to stay, staff are the friendliest you will ever find.

Quiet place, just outside the main area of the city (pub street etc) really nice for relaxing. Staff are very helpful and they can organise everything you need. Good food and drinks selection in the bar.

Dear backpackers, have you not walked for what seems like miles with that bane of your life the rucksack on, and usually one strapped to your front too?? So this nonsense about a 10-15 minute walk (rucksack-less) through the city half pissed to a bar is just stupid! it really is a short walk and if your lazy there are tuk-tuks galore! The social area downstairs is a great place to meet others for the walk to bars, the staff are beyond friendly and scooters can be rented on site! GREAT PLACE!

Very nice hostel on Kho San Road, the room was huge, and came with A/C and fan. The staff can be a little indifferent at times but on the whole it is very clean and very comfortable. A good antidote for many nights in dorms with only one fan to keep us cold!

Quite a nice hostel, in a good location. Staff were very nice, even though we said we would arrive very late it was no problem and there was someone waiting for us. Dorm beds are big, although there are no lockers and even with fans it's very hot. One issue was the bathrooms, they are original fittings and therefore quite quirky and very authentic. This means they are very small and quite difficult to negotiate, definitely not for the taller travelers.

Hello Heidi, thank you for the feedback. Yes unfortunately they are that size...if we wanted to change them we would have to close down for a while :) But maybe in the near future we can fit new bathrooms on both floors. As for the lockers, we do have lockers and they are on the floor below the room you slept in. Maybe you didn't see them although they are big, grey and ugly lol. The fans in the fan dorm can be an issue mostly because everyone is so different, but we have an AC dorm too :)

This hostel is a secret gem, in an excellent location in little india (loads of yummy food close by) and right near the ferry port! the beds are clean and comfortable an dthe showers warm and reliable. The staff are also super friendly and will do anything to help you during your stay here! The only drawback is the lack of a social area to hide out the frequent rain storms

If you're only going to be in Adelaide once, make sure to stay here! The hostel itself is a beautiful building with its own courtyard area and a small bar where pitchers of beer/cider are just $10. The staff are excellent and very helpful, even to the point of upgrading us when she realised we were 4 friends travelling together! Overall Annie's really is the most friendly backpackers and the best place to stay in Adelaide!

We loved our stay here! The staff are so friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you! They help organise day trips including sorting out temple trips, suggest fun activities and help sort onward travel. The owner is also a delight taking interest in you personally and your travels not just taking your money (which wasn't a lot anyway... very cheap, amazing value for money). Rooms were cleaned daily and many fun extras are available (DVDs, TV, pool etc.) We will stay here again

A last minute stay for us but what a treat, clean a/c room friendly staff, a lot of added free extras, attached travel shop to help you with onward travel or trips, good food in there ground floor restaurant, however the Silom area is not one for us so we would have preferred this hostel to be somewhere else but in terms of transport it is ideal right near the river for the express boat links also as it was last minute we found it more expensive than we would usually pay.

We couldn't even find this hostel, we tried everything, no tuk tuk drivers or local people knew of it even though we had printed directions, if this guest house aims to make money i strongly suggest you make your directions a lot clearer. We were looking forward to staying here too, so disappointed

Pans Place Guesthouse, Vang Vieng, Laos

11th Oct 2012

A fun hostel to stay at and the staff were friendly just had some communication issues. We had to use our own padlocks for the door which felt a little unsafe and the room was dated in decor and a little grubby, the garden area made up for this though and a bed is a bed ta the end of the day. Could be a little closer to the riverside bars but excellent value for money and vang vieng is only small so everything is in walking distance anyway
