The kitchen big and spacious had all you needed.Staff was friendly and we were even lucky enough to get an upgrade. was quiet due to time of year,is a really nice lodge.loads of space in kitchen and hang out area and free games in a room downstairs.Only down side really is the opening times to check in and leave ur stuff. you have to leave outside in locker if cold snowy or wet it is not good.empty rooms were left open an unlocked.and often no staff to ask questions. easy 10-15 min bus to town.

Character wast as great as expected. Nothing special.bathrooms only on 2nd and 3rd floor and no bath mats or privacy. Shower doors do not close properly! I had gum on my the head of my bed by the corner. The floor was crumby and dirty and dirty dishes everywhere. I was the only girl in a mixed dorm? Mixed boys and girls plural. With people that I think loved thre! Staff were more concerned about eating food than their guests. Not worth 20 euro I payed to stay. Also very noisy with the pub behind

Generators are pretty good hostels. I had a good stay. however our room was cold even with the heating on. and no bathmat on the shower floor makes it a bit slippery and dangerous. staff were a bit avefrage.. had one girl drop a few cans on the floor and just a bit clumsy and staff not overally friendly. but its a trusted hostel so despite the staff being sloppy wasnt too bad!

Great hostel. Excellent Rooms and excellent check in. Staff were great except one guy.. He was working Easter Friday morning doing check in and out and he was SLOW! People in the lobby for hours waiting. He was also rude. There should have been another staff member helping him. But he was slow and rude. I had to wait 15 mins after pushing myself to front of queue to ask and get my bag. Just lucky I wasn't in a hurry. What happened to the flamenco dance and show? Waited an noone turned up? sad :(

Good place to chill in the common room bar.. you spend a bit of time sitting there as you have to charge your phone/camera down there as no plugs in the room. They have breakfast lunch and dinner included and for anyone on a budget its great. good value for money. Not all staff were friendly despite being bored and not overally helpful and going out of their way to help.bar guy was annoyng changing songs halfway through and talking way to much.i saw a few bugs in the common area crawling around.

Only one bathroom to share. cause of the lock out noone seemed to hang out in the hostel and meet, except for rooms when everyone was going to bed. the staff were friendly. and the location is excellent. I would stay here again even despite lack of bathrooms and the lock out.. just a shame there was noone around in the hostel to meet properly except at bed time. didn't have an age limit either.. some 40 year old woman staying in our room? little strange and annoying.

The room was VERY VERY hot and stuffy, the window hadn't been opened at all for wht felt like forever. opened the window to get some air in and it was okay, room gets warm quite quickly especially wen the shwoer is running. Room is very small, and you have no space to move and can only fit 2 large suitcases. Bed was okay and it has curtains for privacy.. bath was okayish.. but no bath mat? floor gets wet quickly and slippery. Bit of mould and a smell there. If I had to, I would sty again just.

Was in a very good location. A little far from train/metro stop but not too bad. The lounge/bar area on the first floor is prety cool, great environment. was relly clean. beds have like this shade type wall thng around the head of ur bed, giving u some privacy and u get 2 wall plugs to charge ur things. the boxes under the bed o lock things away were grea but u had to pull it all out to get ur stuff kinda annoying. great location, clean tdy and helpful staff.

It's called meninger cry centre but it's not in the city centre. It was very clean and tidy. Strange that 2 single beds were pushed together to make a queen for 2 strangers sleeping next to each other. Area doesn't feel overally safe for 2 females. Staff were friendly anfmd helpful and breakfast was pretty good.

Hello Adele, sorry about your bad impression of the area around here because normally it's really safe here in Altona but it's simply a big town. But we hope that you enjoyed Hamburg anyway and thanks for the comment on our breakfast. :) Your Meininger-Team Hamburg

The rooms where always nice and clean. So they shud be for locking u out between 11 and 3. Pretty silly really. Quite Close to train station and metro that gets you around Paris. Free computers and wifi. Breakfast Isn't Bad but it shud be available till ten or eleven rather than just. 9.30 for those wanting a sleep in.
